being born in 1993, i never really got to listen to freestyle because hip hop back in that time was what i grew up with, but after awhile i did go thru a freestyle phase. listening to Coro, Joée, Stevie B, LisaLisa, Lil Suzy, Johnny O, and so much more. i'll prefer music like this over what they play on the radio any day (:
@ihatekhaleejis I had the chance to hang with him backstage after a show in Toronto once, and I was fortunate enough to have dinner with his sister and my producers one night at 'Al Friscos'.
@ihatekhaleejis He spoke in a manner that showed little respect for those not like him. Very condescending tones and facial expressions. He was a higher human than all of us because of his fame. Many people in these positions suffer from the 'GOD' complex, and that's the exact message i got from him. Mind you, i also found out later on that in fact he was gay, and that i'm sure would've been a lot to handle considering most of his attraction came from women just gaga over him.
@EurodanceToronto Keep in mind that i'm going back 18 years ago to what was told to me by my producer while we were having lunch with Joee's sister. Maybe he was experimenting at the time?
i still love freestyle music, it makes me sad that the newer generation never heard of this type of music (new generation meaning the kids born in the 90's) hah !
@ouzomitsos i was obsessed with joee since i was like in grade 6 (im 22 now) and saw him last year in Toronto and absolutely went crazy...he's freakn awesome! lol

@nvisionmd Not to discredit your comments, but Joee got married a few years ago to a woman in Florida soooo I'm going to say that he's not "gay".
