I love how they try an monopolize on the fact that theres no viruses for macs, Theres (hardly any) viruses for macs because not enough people use them to make it worthwhile writing viruses for them. If everyone started using macs over pcs, Then people would start writing viruses for macs instead.
Funny, I derive a huge amount of enjoyment from my trusty PC, and when I was at school I had to work with MACs which were terribly unstable and so hard to do anything with...
Oh yeah and games. No MAC can come close to rivaling the performance I get out of this quad-core 1GB video card beast I've got here.
Also regarding stability, surely if you have a PC that's properly factory-built and you don't install s*** on it, you'd have a smoother time than on any MAC anyway.
I really like Mac! They are great in the recording studio... But I have built a PC with basically the same hardware for £1000 less than the Mac I was looking at. Intel quad core, terabyte hard drive the works! It runs great!! :) Just wish Mac hadn't baught logic out and made it only available on Mac. :( Ahh well Nuendo 4 works great!! :) And I made an overall saving of about £870 :D

Maybe its because the keyboard shortcuts are slightly different and they want to keep consistancy
Or because PT used to be Mac only so early computer based studios had to buy Macs. This meant that the engineers needed to become proficient using them. Studios that converted later bought Macs to cater for these users. Hence, they're now established

@ReissDJO You can do all of those on non macs. Called dual boot(and I do not mean hackintosh) there are ways to get OS X on non macs without hacking it.

I don't have enough space to list them all, but I'll give a few examples: -iMovie -iPhoto -Garageband -Terminal -Xcode -Photobooth -Dashboard -Dashcode -Finder -iLife (Pages, Keynote, and Numbers), -iTunes(though there is a p.c. version), and the list goes on...
The funny thing is, in Peep show, Mark (PC) is much nicer than Jeremy (Mac) - so they're saying that PCs are geeky and awkward but still sweet and lovable, but Macs are shallow, vain, lazy and empty-headed!

There's nothing strange in the fact that there's more viruses for Windows Microsoft has over 90% of market What would be the reason to write Mac Os virus ? I want to steal someones new graphic logo and delete his family photo album ?? On the other hand its true Mac computers are better designed and build - they cost much more than those for Windows and there's less companies producing components (especial cheap ones) for them, it makes them more stable but harder and more costly to upgrade.
I prefer Mac. I put windows onto my macbook and it made my computer shut down completely. Had to get it repaired. Never had a single virus on mac. Had about 100 on PC. Plus you have to pay for a virus checker for PC. My dad was obsessed with his first mac - so badly he's actually, in his life, bought a mini mac and 2 macbooks. I don't get how loads of people love PC or mac so much. I just prefered mac. I didn't actually like ANYTHING about PC other than for sims 2 games.
My friend got hacked and had someone use his credit card and cell phone info via Facebook. He uses a macbook. The future of identity theft lies online not in your computers operating system. Also if MACs ever outsell Windows machines you will need an antivirus. Oh and a MAC is a PC(personal computer).
well tbh its called common sense if you dont want viruses. get anti-virus programmes, or dont go on dodgy sites. theres loads of things that can help (i use firefox and downloaded extensions that warn me and so on)

my Computer gives me a blue screen like 5 times when I turn it on but besides that its fine. it can be annoying but it isnt like it takes me all day. The apple mighty mouse actually has two button functionality, i don't know how it works exactly but i guess its pressure sensitive so u can still right click or left click u just have to program, it works great by the way. I would like the list please and I'll tell you which of them don't work on BOOT CAMP. There are different versions of Macs(Mac mini, iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook, and MacBook Pro series.) and if ur referring to the monitor than buy a mac that can use a separate monitor, only the iMacs are all in one computers. For me it was worth double the price because right out of the box it was ready for the internet, ready to play games, and ready to start typing documents on. Isn't that what computers do?

boot camp allows u to run windows on a Mac and with that u can run any PC game, and boot camp comes with every Mac so really the only thing u would need is the latest version of windows to install and ur good to play any windows based game, u can even duel boot both windows and Snow leopard at the same time, but for that u need separate software.

how energy efficient your computer is is determined by hardware, not OS, as is how recyclable it is. my computer uses a 1500 wat Power supply, hope it makes you feel sick :)

well tbh its called common sense if you dont want viruses. get anti-virus programmes, or dont go on dodgy sites. theres loads of things that can help (i use firefox and downloaded extensions that warn me and so on)
anyway if you have a mac you shouldnt get windows. they do tend to be for pcs after all :)

my Computer gives me a blue screen like 5 times when I turn it on but besides that its fine. it can be annoying but it isnt like it takes me all day. I hate how the mac mouse has only one button meaning you have to figure out how to bring the menu down. They also had this one really stupid commercial where PC was looking through all these files scattered and mac has this INGENIUS way to put them into little groups. TOTALLY not like the folders on the PC, COMPLETELY unreleated!

You are wrong on every point. Macs do play games, i play CoD 4 every once and a while on my Mac on its highest settings. The apple mighty mouse actually has two button functionality, i don't know how it works exactly but i guess its pressure sensitive so u can still right click or left click u just have to program, it works great by the way. And Macs have found there niche, people who like to be environmentally friendly buy Macs, people who just want simple computers buy Macs, and vista haterz

I would like the list please and I'll tell you which of them don't work on BOOT CAMP. There are different versions of Macs(Mac mini, iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook, and MacBook Pro series.) and if ur referring to the monitor than buy a mac that can use a separate monitor, only the iMacs are all in one computers. For me it was worth double the price because right out of the box it was ready for the internet, ready to play games, and ready to start typing documents on. Isn't that what computers do?

boot camp allows u to run windows on a Mac and with that u can run any PC game, and boot camp comes with every Mac so really the only thing u would need is the latest version of windows to install and ur good to play any windows based game, u can even duel boot both windows and Snow leopard at the same time, but for that u need separate software.

if you install windows 2000 xp vista or 7 inside mac os x
then you download something in your virtual machine it can creep into mac os x and destroy anything it wants. the days of macs being invincible to viruses/torjans/spyware are over.

viruses and hackers are unable to get out of a virtual computer, hence why police forces, testers and product developers use a virtual computer to crack into their own products. It is a completely safe way to keep your real computer safe.
If the virus can't reach your harddrive then it can't reach your computer

(note: some spelling errors are due to me using BrE 'cause i live within the commonwealth) The windows filesystem is much more organised. Instead of everything being in a non-hierarchal system, it is in fact hierarchal and allows for easier access to groups of files. Besides, the imac and macbook offer next to zero upgradeability capabilities, so lets say my hdd gets screwed. I CANT CHANGE IT. i need a better processor. I CANT PUT IT IN. I need a better GC. THIS ONE'S ALREADY GLUED IN!!!!!!!!!!!

look for mac its hard to shut down all applications and it is not organized
theres no window bar so its hard to tell which apps are open
but for windows its just a simple click and if it doesnt respond then you just go press ctrl+alt+delete and go to task manager and end task that simple
i have a windows vista pc and it has never frozen or had to restart cuz it froze
