@vauxhall16 it does support the stabilizers, but you will not require them, as the chassis will be stiff enough with the chassis and upper deck, if u add the stabilizers you will have too much rigidity and not enough grip.:)
i wish i can have this car..i only have cheap car (4wd) with 2 motor .one motor for front wheel and another motor for back wheel..it sound very loud but drift well..
Hi chinkmaster000, do I need to purchase other parts other than the graphite chassis to transfer all the current parts to the graphite chassis? owh.. and... what advantages will i gain converting it other than the obvious light-weight? thanks.
Hi chinkmaster000, do I need to purchase other parts other than the graphite chassis to transfer all the current parts to the graphite chassis? thanks.
that is a nice set up you have there. i want it so bad.... er the Graphite Conversion that is oh and the battery. already have a 7700 kv mamba... but great video man. and thanks for showing what a Graphite Conversion is.
Does the chassis make the car go faster in any way? speed-cornering? cant be any lighter than a plastic on can it ? and finaly it makes the car shorter i think!!!
I know it has 7.2V stock I was asking what is the maximum voltage it can take stock without concurring too much damage or ripping itself a new one... 8.4 maybe? Is it asking too much for it to handle a 9.6?
my friend and i are using dual battery on the stock esc and gt tuned motor.. thats 14.4V, but you will need a secondary battery to connect to the receiver or it will fry..
The difference is really not that much noticable. I have a couple of friends that spend all that money on graphite chasis and aluminum suspensions and i'm still faster top end and lower end. Its the set up you're using and also the esc and motor. Graphite is just eye candy an wasting money. Sure its a bit lighter then plastic and alot stronger but its not going to make a difference if all the other stuff like esc motor and tunning is not up to par.
hi there, i have a Mamba MAx 7700kv Brushless system in my Tamiya TA-05 and i have the carbon graphite conversion kit. BEleive me its much lighter! It looks way better and mine is extremely fast at the same time! (the motor is beyond a 4t brushed) I also have aluminium hop ups on it. ITs stronger, faster and looks cool! Check out the video of it
how much weight difference are we talking about in ounces? I have a brushless sprint flux with a 28 pinion and 93 spur gear running a lipo 7.2 volt . But i was going to say with a shaft driven you would notice a big difference in performance then a belt driven with carbon graphite.
hi, We're not talking about alot of weight difference... BTW i prefer belt driven. All my shaft drivens are much more noisy. Belt Driven Cars respond faster, are MUCH MUCH MUCH quieter and have better, simpler diffs. BElt driven cars are for on road only though. Most offroaders ae shaft driven because of dirt, etc...
im selling my tt-01, just like this but with alot more aluminium n 9t brushless goes like stink, too fast for me lol anybody interested give me a shout :D
i was lookin for around 200, theres alot of stuff that comes with it like all radio gear, used wheels, and spare screws and stuff, i was guna put it on ebay but i thought it wouldnt get much this time of year and i was waiting for christmas
The 3 racing conversion kit includes most of most of the things you need. The shock towers are together with the gearbox. Besides the parts they provide you, the rest should be taken from the original tt-o1. After owning it for more than 9 months, i only have 1 advise, you ought to buy the 3 racing graphite shocktowers too to help strenghten the shocktower because it breaks easily.
does everything u need come with the kit, i got one and its on the way but the pic i saw it doesnt have the diff covers and shock towers. does it come with them? i think there are two differnt kits (#TT01-24/WO) and TT01E -#TT01-E35/WO
Looks like a good chassis...I really want to hop up my tt01...I only use it for bashing and it goes pretty fast, it's got a 15t motor.
Do you think I should get this graphite kit, it looks really good but the only thing is I don't want to wear it down since I bash it all the time...What do you think? Because I also want to get new shocks, A-Arms front and rear, and a few other things...
Hi, its really upto you. This graphite kit enhances strenght and removes excessive weight in the car. which could be a sound investment if you want more speed. Depends really what you mean by bashing? if its just crashin around at top speed then you mite aswell just stick to the standard chassis. Maybe invest in some GPM brand alloy arms because there strong, just incase u crash and damage the existing stock arms which are very weak.
yeah thats what i was thinking too...i dont really want to buy a graphite kit and then bash it up...but I'll probably buy a bunch of other stuff (currently I only have the motor heatsink and aluminum driveshaft)
did you use the same parts from TT-01 stock into this one like Differential or you bought alluminuim ball bearing ones??? im wondering cause i got everything xept that and i dunno if i should build it now or wait....
YEhh i did. Some parts are from the tt-01 racing chassis set, not the normal stock tt-01 set.
Its upto you really... but if its you first tamiya rc car, i would build it and give it a few runs to practice and then slowly see what you want improve, such as handling, weight, speed? etc
Yes you need a new motor like the tamiya rs-540 motor (engine?)or I've you want to have a better one take a tamiya super stock tz. You need then an alluminium proppelorshaft and a new controller too maybe soft springs would be better too! Just take the tt-01D. (D = Drift) That is the best one for you
Is this the best chassis for starters?? any suggestions for a newbie like me?i want to drift do i need somthing to make my stock car drift?please help
firstly you mite need to change to a decent speed controller which can handle the new motor, should find one which copes with the number of turns in your new motor.

Hey chinkmaster000, my english is not good. I'm only 14 and dutch :P I get the graphite conversion kit about two weeks. but my question is. how do you screw that hexagon shape things in the chassis? Did you get a hexagon shape tool set or something like that? cause I don't have a heaxagon shape screw thing :P Or can you buy them in a shop? please help xD thanks:P
the battery stays on fine, as long as you strap it in with the velcro tightly and dnt do insane jumps or extreme crazy driving. But i havent realli had a problem with it
