@IWantBritneySpears Damn, that's pretty amazing.

I just set a new record with Mitsurugi: 5:23. I'm pretty proud of it, but your video made me realize I've still got a lot to learn. I can't juggle the enemy, I can't anticipate their moves, and I can't switch the flow of my combo around based on their movement. I don't think I'll ever be as good as you are, but maybe someday I'll master these techniques, and I'll be a formidable opponent for almost anybody I fight. (except you, obviously) =)

Holy shit man, is this TAS? Inferno is the hardest character to use, because he keeps switching weapons! How do you do the whole thing in 4 mins?

@alec1382 Thanks man :) No it isn't TAS. I don't believe in it.

I can use Inferno no problem, because I can use every character in the game well. There are certain characters I'm more stronger with, such as Mitsurugi, Astaroth, Lizardman, Cervantes. So when Inferno switches to those characters style, it’s easy for me - as Inferno is essentially a faster version of each character, with 2 exclusive moves, called Roy D'Angolmois (King of the Mongols) and Roy D'Effrayeur (King of Fear).

@IWantBritneySpears I suppose you've spent a lot of time with this to learn all the characters, let alone so well. Either that, or you're just ace at fighters. Anyway, I wouldn't want to be the guy that plugs quarters into the arcade cabinet thinking "Maybe if I'm a little more careful I can finally beat him..." =P

@IWantBritneySpears Well, I'm not sure most people will have the patience to read through all of that, but I certainly enjoyed it. I guess you've been playing fighters for a while then. This is actually my first fighter and I think I'm decent. Mitsurugi is my favourite too. My best time is 7:15. Being born into the 5th generation of gaming, I never really knew about fighters. I wish I had sooner.

What went wrong with your DC? I know a lot about the internals; maybe I could help you fix it?

My DC just failed to start up one day, it was just dead. I put it up the attic, hoping to repair it someday. I was really considering buying one on eBay, as I still had my games and accessories, but at that time I found out about NullDC, and was happy enough with the quality of emulation. I don't think I have the main unit anymore :(

Just in case you stumble upon it or find a broken one, chances are that you can just replace the fan and it'll work again. I know you probably don't have it, but just for future reference.

As for completing this in 4 mins, that’s nothing really :P this is a very old video of mine. Sometimes, everything can just come together, and you can see any move coming, and counter it - which makes getting perfects easier. I can complete this game in 2 minutes and 40 secs with Mitsurugi - with the rounds set as 2, and 60 secs - with the rounds set as 1.
