How do you finger that and in what order do you do everything? basically how should it be played? thanks guys

Well, you pluck the open 'D' string, then hammer on the 9th fret on the D string and 10th fret on the A string at the same time with your index finger and middle finger respectively. Immediately after that, you hammer on the 'D' string again with your ring finger while your other fingers are still on the strings. Hope that helps.

Actually, it's covering four strings and it's just a Dunlop spring action capo. You just squeeze it and put it over the strings, only instead of putting it over all six, you just put it on the ones you need to.

Yeah, my strings have snapped a lot of times by just tuning them higher.

But I did risk trying it again when I started learning this song, and it didn't snap ^_^

(It took me a monkey wrench tho, because it's really heavy after a while, lol)

Easier said than done my friend. I do have a good sense of rhythm, and I do know where I mess the rhythm up, it's just hard to execute because I haven't been playing fingerstyle guitar for years and years. Most people you're seeing on youtube are just discovering this style and you can easily tell when others have been playing for longer than the breakout of Andy McKee on the youtube scene.

You've done covers on Ouray and Samus's Stardrive, whose original videos aren't found on Tube.I was wondering if you've heard of Andy's song, "Practice is Perfect"... Well I can at least tell you the tuning for that one. It's DAEFAE. Very weird tuning, I know. I tried playing it months and months ago with little success but I've gotten better at guitar since then and it's a really cool tune so I may indeed try learning it again. Good luck!

sounds like you used the "Art of Motion" tabs for this song. The album version sounds a lot different than what he plays live.
