Wolf ammo isn't corrosive at all.

Infact for a Russian designed rifle like the SKS (and AKs) Russian made ammo like Wolf is reccomended.

For what it's worth I shoot 7.62x39 Wolf Military Classic FMJ out of my AK almost exclusively.

Most Wolf rounds don't have a lacquer coating on them. Rounds like Brown Bear do. The issues people have with Wolf are that it's supposedly a really really filthy round and that a straight steel case could break the extractor.

I use Wolf and Brown Bear anyways. I've yet to see a snapped extractor or any melting in the chamber.

Me and my dad have put countless Wolf rounds through his AR-15, and there hasn't been any noticeable damage.

Neither of us is anywhere close to a gun expert though.

Yeah, I think most people just have it in for Wolf ammo 'cause it's Russian and Russia is, as always, the bad guy. Realistically, however, you shouldn't have any trouble. Wolf is a bit dirtier that other brands, but that's about my only complaint with it. It's cheap and my AR operates flawlessly with it. Oddly enough Remington .223 rounds will consistently make my AR's bolt lock back, as if it were out of ammo, on the last round in the mag. Any mag.

Wolf ammo is still lacquer coated which in extreme cases can build up in your gun. But unless you just shoot and shoot without ever cleaning your gun you won't have any issues.
