If we have the technology to produce vehicles, power stations etc that produce less or no carbon dioxode or other greenhouse gasses then shouldn't we be building them anyway? If we have the technology to produce vehicles, power stations etc that produce less or no carbon dioxode or other greenhouse gasses then shouldn't we be building them anyway? We moved on from steam power, why not move on from fossil fuels? BTW I love the internal combustion engine but I love having a planet that can sustain human beings more!!!

@wnba131 You don't know me! I volunteer for a conservation charity called BTCV (British Trust for Conservation Volunteers) Google it! The technologies exist already but patent laws prevent them from being put into use. The only way things will improve is if "we" as in everyone stop all the bull and actually do something, that includes all business' as well as people. I'm not talking about everyone buying a prius, thats a false economy, those damned things cause more damage than they prevent

@wnba131 Nasa have developed a plastic that due to its molecular structure actually removes co2 from the atmosphere, I heard about it at least 4 years ago but nothing has been done about it, thats the kind of thing that I am talking about! There are also generators that create electricity by using opposing forces of magnets (search Ytube for perendev magnetic motor) but the patents have all been bought up by oil companies etc! Human-instigated global warming is a moronic concept. 18,000 years ago there were GLACIERS covering the USA. In the Carboniferous period, CO2 concentrations were 4.7 TIMES higher than they were today, and there was still land on the planet surface, and it was habitable.
