i got a 73 chevy shortbed loved it but cant bog it kepts killin the motor please help need ideas to stop it

try a different carb.... you could just be flooding the engine

what shape is the engine in? run a compression check, tune up, vaccum line check, the usual crap. The more emission crap they put on the less reliable they got.

Boggin does use TONS of power so you might want to look into what Outlaw said.

@rickycanevari snorkel it and/or cover the distributor cap. if the cap gets wet then you're done till it dries.
