@radialaxis It's just that I'm looking for someone to help me out. I saw some old DJ video tapes on a Japanese website the other week, and I wanted to email them, but I can't speak Japanese. Actually, hold on, wouldn't I need a Japanese keyboard to email them?
it`s a Fuckin` classic !!!!!!!!!! I remember sitting in a Room with Friends (all Turntablejunks) . And when This Video showed up ,back then it was VHS-tape , we all where so stoked . I mean it`s Genius from start to finish .
@TheChowie The UK scene was so strong back then. People like DJ Pogo, DJ Excel, First Rate, Mr Thing, Prime Cuts, Tony Vegas, DJ Woody, DJ Skully, the Mixologists, Madcut, Peter Parker, Tigerstyles, Mike L and Ritchie Rufftone made it almost impossible to stand out from the crowd and make a name for yourself.
I see there are a lot of people on here that thinks Kentaro is the better DJ, I say this would be a major deal if the two battled it out, they both brought something to the table(s)
ahh sarcasm, the lowest form of wit, but if thats the only wit you are capable of then thats okay, i dont mind if your autistic, its fine you may be a little bit 'special' you keep that way, did the nurses allow you to come on the computer today.. wow, arent you a lucky boy.
egypyptian lover, grandmaster flash they've been doing this since the early eighties but it was about the music more than how good they could scratch, especially now when you can do this digitally. whats the point except showing off?
they're all good.. they're the pioneers etc etc... this is what it's evolved into.. this is a competition for beat juggling and scratching.. I don't get what the point is, what you're saying is like going to a drag race to promote bicycles. This guy and none of them for that matter in the comp are doing this digitally because it actually takes skill w/ vinyl so what did that comment have to do with anything? Also you've discredited yourself by having "let the music play" as your favorite video.
what? If anything back in the early 80's when flash and theadore were really in their stride it was all about showing off. Even flash himself quotes that
'all that matters is being the first'
in relation to his discovery of marking records and juggling them / backspinning them.
It was all about who could do what first, who had the edge. Thats what these comps evolved from, the want and need to progress what they started as an art form. Its about what you can do with the music.
This battle was dope. Plus One, Infamous, and P-Trix, all going for it. A-Trak also performed a set on the night - I think he chickened out of the battle, as he knew he couldn't beat Plus One. Yes, I know he beat Plus One in that year's I.T.F. World Final, but that was only because Plus One had to split this routine up, into smaller segments, for each individual round.
?? thats not a klams de deth or watever the hell its called record... they used it.. everyone uses it... but its the duck breaks.... damn posers.... u fake and stoopid.. and u aint crazy... lame
you stop frontin and use ure head from the killa klamz uf death a q bert and mix master mike mix availible on e bay plus one rocks no 1 could pull of that im still no.1 only he could do that iv seen the pervs they rock good at fabric and roadmender northampton
In my opinion ive seen waaay tighter shit from plus one besides that tone shit. IT was cool but the scratch perverts are famous for their feedback tactics. In the part everyones talking about plus one just uses regular tones u can find on any battle record.
ooft! stop moaning about the 'tone shit', that's one of the best things bout the scratch perverts, they know how to use the turntable as an instrument rather than doin the same AAAHHH, fRRREESSSHHH stuff everyone else does. plus one is fuckin awesome
I had this on VHS. Hands down he killed the rest of the guys. GET SETUP FOR YOUR ATTACK RUN.
