tip for oil ocean boss: after robotnik sinks into the oil, get under a platform and jump like theres no tomorow until robotnik comes up again. and repeat if neccisary.

i know the feeling for that boss you hate I had 9 lives on sonic 2 and came back in the next zone with 3 however do it as knuckles you can glide wall from wall and hit him it takes like 7 seconds lol

An easy and well known technique for the Oil Ocean boss is to hide under the platforms when Dr Robotniks laser snake comes up. He will not fire at your from underneath the platform. Also for the Chemical Plant boss you can duck and Dr Robotniks good will not hurt Sonic. I take it you never played Sonic 2 a lot in your youth! Haha, good video!

@MajBlood If anything I played Sonic 2 the most :P, I tried that on Oil Ocean and he always shoots me when i'm down there and as for the Chemical Plant zone I normally kill it before he even attacks once D:

@MegaGWolf Haha good to hear. Yeh it is usually easy to beat Chemical Plant boss quickly, just thought I'd let you know because here you let him attack you. As for the Oil Ocean, it is actually impossible for the snake robot to attack you when you are hiding under the platform, it is actually against his programming. Perhaps you just misremembered something from your youth.

it is a pity you can't play these brilliant hacks on the Genesis itself! I would do so much better on the Labyrinth boss if I could use a Sega controller!
