1) Aerolithe (most likely salvaged for parts for other cars at the factory), 2) The Peter Williamson Atlantic that sold for $35M last year (is blue), 3) Debatable as to wether it exists, but it would look like the one in this video), 4) The Atlantic that was modified by Figoni and was later crushed by a train. Has been remodeled recently and shown at Pebble Beach, 5) The Ralph Lauren car. Black as well, with different headlights.
No only you. You fail to understand that really rich people collect these rarities to make a statement or just to feel happy they are "immortalized" being one of the registered owners.
These really rich car enthusiasts don't care about those common mass produced supercars you mention, because they are a dime a dozen in those circles. You also fail to realize that they already are so rich that they own huge houses and expensive apartments.
@McLarenMercedes Yes it is pointless speculation, thank you for pointing that out. But I get the whole badge, price, and show-off thing from the super rich. I obviously wasn't talking about their reasoning when I commented was I?
They made three. Only two survive and Ralph Lauren owns one. Along with a 57 gangloff drophead and a 59 gp. The other atlantique was just bought by a museum in America for 30m. Most expensive car ever sold but these days, ettore's brother's art sells for even more. Despite the cars being much more coveted and famous.
@AHMmotoring They made 4 Didn't they? There was the Electron Coupe which was the concept, 2 Black ones and the Blue one which just sold. Do I have my facts right?
Over 50 years ago the Ettore Bugatti gave us this car and how to repay his genius? The Scion. Even if we can't have cars that perform like the Atlantic couldn't they at least look like it?
If it was the most expensive car in the world it wouldn't be transported on a trailer. It would be transported in a purpose-built covered transporter!
@mandii66 this is probably a replica because you are definantily right... no one would transport it like this... better yet use wood boards to get it off the trailer and almost hit the back on the pavement....
Just sold for more than $30 million. There's only three in the world, and Ralph Lauren owns the other two. The buyer of this one has not been divulged.
It is SO COOL to see this video! Thanks and many thumbs up.
Como ha perdido el rumbo bugatti, de esa elegancia futurista al monstruo chabacano y grotéscamente sobrepotenciado de hoy en día, los diseñadores de bugati debieran inspirarse en el gran legado....
I am a 41 year old 70's and new muscle car guy from day one, BUT that machine brings a word to my mind I NEVER say. Exquisite. That car has a backbone that is nothing short of spectacular. Awesome! Bugatti commands it's presence in the the world of great cars.
..The trailer is nicer than the car.

The Veyron can suck it. These are the real Bugattis, the new monstrosity is just a tarted-up Volkswagen.
