@Moviestar20 Back in the 1800's, people were more conservative and young girls were more innocent sexually- so really close friendships of the same gender are ok. But in this modern age- people suspect gay/lesbian when two people of the same gender are as close as anne and diana. Sad, isn't it?
@springdale122583 Totally. I'm 16 and all I know is my class mates are totally corrupt. Growing up with not suspecting the gay/lesbian thing, I still would dislike it if my best friend treated me as her daughter rather than a friend. But maybe some of my classmates corrupt minds have rubbed off on my so thats why I get all nervous when anne behaves like that to diana.
