No, the 3.5 in the Murano is not as powerful as the fx 35. 2005 fx 35 is 280 hp, murano is 240 ish. 2010 fx 35 is 303 hp and murano is only 265.

Everyone has a preference, mine is FX over Murano and I explained why. No, you don't have to be a yuppie to drive an FX. A yuppie can just as well be in a tricked out Murano as he/she can in an FX 35/45. To each his own buddy ;)
