I love this game, i have over 300 hours of gameplay on it mostly from when i was a kid, i don't play it much anymore but it was one of the first pokemon games i ever got and ever since i was like 4 I've loved this game

Good choice on Water types, they may be more common than Fire types, but Squirtle was the best starter of his generation, Totodile is most likely the most well liked starter (besides Mudkip), and all of the Sinnoh starters not named Chimchar were unique anyway.

i agree with squirtle being best in that generation, but typhlosion was best for his, torchic was best for his, and i dont know the fourth generation.

Competitively, Swampert has always outdone Blazeken. And, while Typhlosion was better than Feraligatr back in Gen2, now Feraligatr is MUCH better.

Oh, and I didn't say that Totodile and Mudkip were better, I said they were more liked.

Swampert is good against Blaziken, you rate how they are by competing against types that are nuetral with them, and then seeing which is better.

When I first played this game, I started with Mudkip. In my Blue and Silver versions, I started with a Grass-Type. I wanted to choose a different type other than Grass-Types. So I chose Mudkip.
