guys ive got a problem, when i push in the track search button so the light shows it still wont let me search through the track, it just refreshes the track every time (there is only 1 track on the cd) this is infuriating as i have to use the job wheel to reach cue points like 3mins into songs. Ive got 2 of these cdjs and they both do the same so i dont think its broken. thanks for the help!
K I have the axis 8 cd players (except the screen is red instead of blue; the cue, pause, and stutter buttons are red, green, and green goin from cue to pause; and the reloop buttons are red) and I also have a Numark Dxm01 mixer. I've had these for 7 yrs. now. How do I record music to my computer? Can u or anybody here answer that?
i just got a numarik axis 9 and im a beginner to scratching but i have a problem, everytime i scratch while a song is playing, the sound goes all wobbly instead of scratching like in the video but when i pause the song it scratches and stuff so i need help to make it scratch while the song is playing please? i also dont have the masterboard or whatever youse call it :(
Hi,i just bought a couple of these last month..ones fine, but the other finds it hard to read CD-r's and wont let me search through the tracks...tried updating & recalibrated it,no use any help appreciated..
Hey guys. I've been a Numark user for about 7 years now.I have had the Axis 9's for some time and I would recommend them if you are starting out and you can get them cheap. But be aware, they are Not to be used in a professional or live setting. They are notorious for skipping and the buttons have sensitivity problems. Look up the issues and do your homework. I started out on these guys so I can't knock them, but I had 3 defective units at one point and haven't been able to use them live since.
arite people i have the axis 9s and the dm 1050 .. its my first set and id deffo encourage you to get axis9s they are brill there well worth the money all in all if u wanna be a good dj u gotta spend money 2 earn money......... i spent about 5.50 on my axis 9s and my dm 1050 i got the intimadation audio and the da 300 amp its fuking brill and i got a wildtech hullution jr i spent a grand on my stuff its well worth it ..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes it's worth it, i think u can't buy the axis 8 anymore cause it's an old version of the axis 9.
and this is the best cd player i know for that price.
1 feature i especially like: play stutter.
if u use the cue as a stutter you will have "quiet moments" if u take ur finger off the cue. with play as a stutter you won't have these "quiet moments".
Im having an issue everytime im scratching the song stops playing and allows me to scratch. But i wanna scratch in real time with the song playing how can i do this?
i have 2 numark axis 9s there are very good cdjs iv had mine for about 6 months and i picked djing up realy fast with thies because they are so simple
the only downside to them is the buttons if u hammer them they will break and wont work first time but mine havent done this because i threat them well so its abit of give and take with them
but overall they are amazing cdjs i would say better then the pioneer 200s and some things beta then the 400s
hey there.. i just bought one of these and umm when i plug it to my mixer (numark 950usb) the sound sounds horrible.. but whenever i connect the cd player to a stereo alone, the sound is great.. can you help me please?? does it work on usbmixers?
hey, maybe you can help me. I got a set of these Axis 9's and on my right deck, when I play a cd, through out the song it's skips. It only happens on my right deck. Any suggestions?
let me tell u sumfin about these. u need to burn all ur cds at 16x and lower!. preferably at 8x. that should stop all skipping. plus playing cdrs on it wears out the laser.. especialy ones burnt at high speeds. on top of that. the laser wears out anyway. like after a few years you will notice that it takes longer to read ur cds.. book it in to numark and theyl service the deck for £30. they fix anything else wrong with it too. iv just booked mine in
hey. great vid! can you explain what the "beatkeeper" means exactly? i mean...what will it synchronicise, when you have no connection to an other axis 9 ?
these are GREAT players and i will miss them and i also really do not want to give them as i make quiet a bit of money DJ-ing at a club with them BUT i am moving out due to University which unfortunately has to come first and i need some spare money and i will also not be using them anymore as im moving location and have limited space :( :(
I bought a pair of these a few months ago and now one skips like crazy!!! Even with a new store bought cd it skips. These are super dope..all the effects and the scratching's not bad but I cant deal with the skipping so I had to go to Denon.
My Axis 9's skipped alot, but then i realised i needed to burn the disks at the slowest speed, instead of fastest. Try that if youre having the skipping problem, Also leave the decks for 30 seconds before doing anything once you turn them on.
i got two of those, the TOUCH SENSIIVE PAD on the jogwheel on one is broken, i dont know it doesnt sense anything anymore, cant use effects and its malfunctioning now, it bumps and skips tracks and its goin crazy, what do I do? no one ine numark tech support knows how to help, i live in argentina and no one works with axis 9 here..... wtf do i do?
dont tell me to upgrade it with the numark download thingy beacuse its NOT that.... if u gonna buy these dont, get pioneer. any help?
I used to be a numark tech. Its a blown chip inside. These always went on the axis 9's. Your gonna gave to send it in to get fixed. Its it still under warranty it will be free, but you have to pay to ship it, numark will pay for return shipping.
I'd say axis 9. I love my pioneer cdj 100 but it doesn't have vinyl mode or as awesome of features. I'm sure axis 9 is basically just as durable as the pioneer too.
i had them for awhile now and there brilliant!they had slight problems in the beginning but i found out thats because i was touching the jog wheel while the cd was loading!now there 100% perfect and i would highly recommend
hands down the best introductory digital player ive ever seen. this thing is so durable, and so comprehensive and easy to learn on. I have done so many shows with it, and it doesnt have ALL the bells and whistles but if your beginner to mid it has everything you could ever want. I love em and almost dont wanna upgrade to hdxs
After bout a year 1 of dem wouldnt read the cds properly but i just sent it back to the place where i bought it and they sent me a replacement no problem since
also scratch wheel on a gemini is a nightmare, you have to press down quite hard to activate vinyl control (instead of using a button as on the axis) to me i think i have made a mistake buying the gemini model
remote start is the same as crossfader start. basically some mixers are able to send a ''start'' single directly to the cd player when the crossfader is moved from side to side. makes starting a track on cue easier.
guys ive got a problem, when i push in the track search button so the light shows it still wont let me search through the track, it just refreshes the track every time (there is only 1 track on the cd) this is infuriating as i have to use the job wheel to reach cue points like 3mins into songs. also scratch wheel on a gemini is a nightmare, you have to press down quite hard to activate vinyl control (instead of using a button as on the axis) to me i think i have made a mistake buying the gemini model

this is a great cdj ! does any one know what remote start is ?? its on the back of the cdj

remote start is the same as crossfader start. basically some mixers are able to send a ''start'' single directly to the cd player when the crossfader is moved from side to side. makes starting a track on cue easier.
