i managed to get the easycap ,good quality up and running, without any splitters or extra cables :D when recording, i do have to play on my laptop screen

I can only record in NTSC_433 which is odd because I live in Europe

when I try to use pal or any other settings theres a blank screen and with ntsc it drops my quality by alot because im not in america

@PoisonInfinity theres only to opitions, ntsc and pal, to change them click the little gear icon ont he very top , its on the left side its the last icon

@GamesPutSimple try going to the edit options on the top, and click preferences and change tv format to pal, in the US we use the NTSC. If that doesnt work then google your problem cause i dont know.

@TheUnlimitedIphone its your easy cap, i went through 5 different easycaps all had no sound just static. You can get used dazzles for like $30 on amazon, thats what i did.

@TheUnlimitedIphone You a special spillter that changes the Red and White to the audio microphone jack in your computer.Then you have to go to your microphone put your main microphone as default then go to properties and put the microphone volume at 100 and microphone boost at zero.It help me a lot by doing that

@TheRoflbbqlego you may have to much stuff running. or your computer may just not be fast enough to record it. or you may be recording in a quality your computer cant handle.( less frame rate or try a lower quality)

@TheRoflbbqlego it does that sometimes,normally after it freezes i restart my comp and it works, but try recording without sound, just recently if i record with sound it lags. Make sure you dont have any other programs open and running, close internet, instant messenger, Normally it lags and freezes when i edit not when i record.

@skellytoon273 the red and white wires that plug into the easycap are for the sound. If your not getting sound just find the sound options in your editor and make sure for the microphone, your easycap is selected

Thats what i did, there is nothing wrong with the used ones just it might have a scratch on it or the person returned it because they didnt want it.
