Notice how during the election process the media only talked about how out of touch or crazy Ron Paul was? Now that there is no threat of him winning the Presidency they all welcome him and his ideas that only months ago were so crazy.
How is higher taxes reasonable? I can't imagine anyone who actually pays taxes suggesting this, and if you're not paying taxes, you're either a true libertarian or just a leech, mooching off the government and sucking the middle class dry.

alternative to raising taxes is cutting government spending. Ron Paul wants to cut billions of government wasteful spending ... then we can lower taxes and that will strengthen the economy because people have more money.
Ron Paul? You Americans live in a dream. Ron Paul never had a chance.
Don't get me wrong, if he wanted to settle in the UK I would pay his families fare and do all I could to get him citizenship.
But the reason he never had a chance is that if he had got in, his ideas would have shown every politician up for the last 100 years as crazy incompetent fools. It is no wonder the "Righteous" kept him out of view of the majority.
Thank you for the video! but I thought that that the jobs that were to be creating as the video says artificially were jobs that generate money too, don't get me wrong I agree with Ron Paul but the jobs that are being created are not about digging holes maybe some of them are like that but there are also green jobs government jobs I don't think they are all wasteful and in some way could generate money growth from needed materials and consumers purchases but I could be wrong.
Democracy? The state GOP where I lived refused to have Ron Paul's name placed on the ballot. They even refused to have a write-in space. yeah, we live in a democracy,... NOT!

It is nice to see Ron Paul getting some recognition and respect. Too bad more people aren't listening to Ron Paul, especially people in government and at the Federal Reserve.
When Obama talks about job creation, I don't think he means digging holes and then filling them up again. He's talking to Americans who are largely illiterate and limited in their thinking, and he uses simple words they can get. Obviously he means meaningful and productive jobs that will strengthen America. Specific areas for investment that Obama has identified include all those you mention in your video. One mistake Obama makes is taking about "spending" when he should be saying "investment".
Only private investment can create those "meaningful and productive" jobs, not the government. Some may disdain profit seeking, but IT is what drives meaningful and productive INVESTMENT, whereas the government follows political motives.
The gov't doesn't produce anything. They use force to steal from producers. The fact that they can steal from Peter to provide Paul with a job, doesn't mean they are "creating jobs."
The jobs they destroy with their stupid redistribution schemes are never counted. Neither is the waste, fraud, and abuse ever counted.
Seems like the problem is 1st, a corrupt financial system that did not deserve to be bailed out. The 2nd is, the money is not managed by congress, but the Fed. 3rd, exporting jobs is profitable until the credit of the unemployed can no longer afford those imports. 4th the problem in some cases is too much productivity & efficiency, hence the auto industry producing 18 million cars for a 9 million demand. Finally, energy needs to be domestic, cheap and non-burning.
Ending mark to market will not save the banks. That's like you saying your house is worth millions because you say it is. You are still not going to get a loan on that house. Thus suspension of reality does not save the banks.
'Digging a hole and filling it back in has no value' you say. Work has no value in and of itself seems to be a logical conclusion. Do you really agree with that?
I don't. ANY job is a God given opportunity to develop a person's character, at the very least.
Course you richies don't get it.
Dennis K and Ron P TOGETHER could save the country. We need BOTH.
PQRLOVE, you're being a noodge literalist. if one, for example, says that zimbabwean currency has no value, that doesn't mean the paper can't be burnt in place of firewood. practical speech requires reasonable shortcut conventions.
more important, if money is stolen from me so you may be paid to dig holes and refill them, that has _negative_ value to me -- worse than no value. you're pissing in the wind with your "you richies" bullshit.
"Dennis K and Ron P TOGETHER could save the country. We need BOTH." Be careful. Dennis K. may be anti-war and anti-empire but he's no friend of freedom, specifically economic freedom.
Praise God for some success in the opposition to the nutcase krugman and his obamanomics squad of illusionists. krugman is the cryss angel of economists and Ron Paul is the evil kneivel.
predictable that the RP deists were in such a swoon over the RP quote here that they ignore the vid's overwhelming corporatist (fascist) pining. karlgaard's complaint isn't that "the economy" is outside the realm of the US president's "delegated" power. nah, he wants "investment".
try liberty, jackals from hell. that includes you RP swillers worshiping a career thief whose accumulated salary alone exceeds 3 million (2008 dollars) -- all of it stolen via the threat of force. that isn't liberty.
Ron Paul never said that government should spend on those science and technology projects that the IBM CEO wants. Those things are a waste in the same way that digging holes and filling them up is a waste.
Publisher of FORBES???! This surely is a victory and proof that Ron Paul's economic message of wisdom is being listened to and repeated by those "respected" in the financial industry.
Much props and respect finally coming from the "mainstream." Ron Paul is not going to go away quietly in the night in our America.
Wow! What, is he a recovering Keynesian who saw the light??? 1 year too late, people are quoting Ron Paul more and more. If they only quoted von Mises MORE AND MORE, or Nobel Laureate Hayek... ok lets say for example im the person printin and creating all of the money. and i say ftorresgamez your credit is shot. how do i know your credit is shot?? because im the one with all the money in my bank. and you only get money if i say soo. therfor you cannot afford a home and dont deserve a home.. but me on the other hand.. my credit is spectacular.. soo good infact that i can buy a homes with pure cash.. no credit needed. and if u were to try and buy the same house it would cost 3 times.
and after i buy soo many homes. i will rig the system to keep the prices well out of reach of the common person soo they will infact never be able to pay off the morgage...and i will kick them out and i will still keep the house and it will be all profit for me. AND DONT TRY AND TELL ME THATS NOT EXACTLY HOW IT IS.. remember McCain got asked how many homes he owns.. his answer was.. Geee i dont know .. there are soo many... its hard to say...
"ok lets say for example [I]'m the person printin[g] and creating all of the money. " Let's say that printing money is fraud. That's a good beginning.
"[A]nd [I] say 'ftorresgamez, your credit is shot.'" You may say whatever you want, but there would be absolutely NO point in printing money if you do not make it circulate (i.e. hold it, as you described), so as long as OTHERS hold that money after it circulates & my credit standing may be good enough for THEM, I can get a loan.
Not really. To be precise: If you can't afford to buy a house then you can't make the payments on a house and you should rent a home instead of trying to buy. It has nothing to do with deserving and everything to do with proven ability to repay the loan (or at least it would without politically motivated pressuring of the banks to loan to people who cannot make their payments).
You choose yourself, by having a stable address and employment record and reliable credit history, and thus demonstrating that you are someone that can make payments on a loan. Moron.
