Many thanks for posting the thoughts of one of the great Labour figures. What is so impressive about Mr Hattersley is that he combines erudition, humour and the vision to look back to preserve the best of tradional progressive thinking and forward to embrace the implications of change. A great advocate and Labour warrior who is also the best living political memoirist in British politics.
