  • THANK YOU Zachoeje' Rinpoche' for remaining in the world to help me to learn how to help myself so I can help others.

  • unlocking the back door is a tricky metaphor to use in the bay area.

  • Accepting struggle as the essence of life is one thing, OK, now what anout facing a situation -wherever in the world-where criminal evil regimes commit monstruous crimes : do you just sit there watching the massacre of innocent beings-victims thinking to yourself : what an impressive "show of struggle" ?!!! I don't get his political idea when facing crime : non violence + contemplation or intervention by virtue of moral necessity ?!!! Please help me understand !!!

  • @marcosacha Hey, how are you? He talks about enlightenment as not being removed from the world, but actively engaging with the world, with suffering and struggling. So I don't think it's right to sit there watching the massacre of innocent people if you can do something about it. Thich Nhat Hanh called this "engaged buddhism", and actively but nonviolently opposed the vietnam war. However, I don't consider nonviolence an absolute principle. eg. I think violent resistance was justified in WWII.

  • its like in super mario world where you can either go straight to bowsers castle, or go through the back door.

Or maybe i play too many games.. :(

  • Can it be a better slavery creating engine? Avoiding set backs of all sides requires a lot of energy and verification to establish trust. The history of Lama is just as dark as many other religions. Arbitrary default settings of Dala Lama seldom improve the spirit of the rich or the poor people. People must verify and ask questions daily for improvements.

  • the idea is to improve YOURSELF. A teacher cannot do that for you. They only point the way. Slavery creating engine? We all create our own prisons.

  • We are not our own prisons. Intellectual reseaches, records and debates open up our mind. We are engines of ideas. Our inteligent exists long before our languages. Religious establishments ruin and neglect most parts of it with othodoxy rituals and languages. Religious stopped once it hits the relationship barriers. It is a bias.

  • I said we CREATE our own prisons... this is done by repeating cause and conditions leading to continued ignorance. Not an easy cycle to break.

  • Exactly right. Can't stop having the same things happen in our lives if we don't stop doing the same things.

  • that's true as well. The people who the religions are patterned after often did the exact opposite of what most religions do and teach. However that is just the misinterperitation of people who did not understand. The proper message is usually still in there some where.

  • exactly it's rare that a persons problems can be blamed solely on someone else. Everything is our own responsibility.

  • He is amazing... wow... great voice... great personality... great wisdom. As a Tibetan I feel proud to have a younger Rinpoche like him....Free Tibet!- Pema Dolma

  • Tashi Delek Rinpoche!
