Boomerang Does work in space

Of course it doesn't, it simply needs the correct aerodynamics to return and as they guy in the clip isn't wearing a spacesuit I assume the atmosphere there is normal (if weightless). It will also naturally come to a stop if it is within the normal breatheable atmosphere because it will still suffer from surface friction, but outside where there is no atmosphere it will not stop or return.

On earth, when you throw a boomerang properly, it returns. If you don’t catch it, it eventually falls to the ground. What would be interesting is to see how long the boomerang would follow its flight path if the astronaut did not catch it.

@yumyum999zz Friction from the air would cause the boomerang to slow down considerably, by which point it won't be moving fast enough to twist in the air due to its aerodynamic properties.

Airfoils need air to push off of.. If he threw it outside the spaceship it would fly and he would never see it again. NO AIR IN SPACE.

of course it works in this video a boomerang works because of air and in thiis video there is air in the cabin of this video or the person thowing it would not be able to breath without a mask or suit. this would only be amazing if it was outside the shuttle on a space walk or there was no air present and it still flew.
