I really like Kucinich, he's got some good ideas. I have to take issue with the AMI report. The idea of creating money "monitored to be neither inflationary nor deflationary" is nonsensical. The Federal Reserve System was created because congress cannot coin money that is not backed by gold or silver. Commodity backed money is the only way to control inflation.

Insurance itself is risk management where costs are spread out between many people. Private insurance makes a profit on this without providing any actual care-in fact-the more they deny care, the more profit they make. Kucinich's plan puts people's health decisions into doctor's hands, not corporation's hands. Its exactly because our current 'free market' system DOES NOT work that DK wants to have the government as the Insurer. If it could work in the free market, it would be working now.
