  • Nissan accidentally built a monster, & the monster was born,,,,,, Skyline GTR r35

  • this is what GT5 openings should have been

  • i wanna work as those test drivers :D

  • is it better than the 458 italia ???? thx people

  • @hossein1413 For the money the GTR is way better because it offers most of the performance for way less money but if you have enough money the Ferrari 458 is way better.

  • Im not kidding, I'd suck a penis in exchange for this car.

  • This is my Dream Job.O__O

  • how sick would it be to one of those test drivers....

  • @240zguy240 i know right... how can i sign up for this job??? i'll accept minimum wage to them.

  • lol @ matiix & nismo relax guys.. :)

we all love and respect the GT-R .. and mattiix ur fightin with him as if you own Lexus/Toyota and him Nissan .. so relax..

    and enjoy the clip

  • @mukusman yes, thank you for your sensibility!

  • lol americans, "knee-san"

  • my dad has one

  • Talk about quality control, something toyota doesn't do atm, i bet the zr1 is just made and taken to the showroom, no wonder they fall apart

  • only 20 lfa's are made and sold, while nissan has sold over 27,000 gtrs!!

  • my bad 500 lf-as will be made, 20 a month most have been sold i mean, lexus lose money per lfa, nissan make money

  • @nismo007

I dont think thats correct. In the USA there was only 3,402 Total alone.

    Your numbers are WAY off...

  • you think Nissan sold the gtr in usa alone LMFAO!

they sold over 16k in japan, i know as i have a friend working for nissan here in dubai,

95% of the gtrs in uae and most of middle east are sold out,a sheik here got 40 gtrs for himself, so over 3k sold in the middle east region, then factor in the rest of europe and asia, i got told 27000gtrs have been sold out of 31000 made,

  • Umm...did i say the only sold the US?

Please show me where i said that?

Your inability to understand English properly makes you look like an ass.

I WAS speaking only for the USA, and in OUR country, 3400 is a VERY LOW number in comparison to the MANY mustangs out there.

Never once did i say they JUST sold them to the US.

  • @Mattixxg so why say my numbers are way off then idiot

their not, i don't give a shit how many gtrs are sold in usa

I personally own a gtr, i have had it for 2 years no problems

Nothing is wrong with my English you dumb shit, i said nissan had sold 27000 gtr's and you said my numbers are way off.

  • Hey dumbfuck..LEARN TO READ ENGLISH.

I SAID the LFA numbers are WAY off. YOU..that means YOU said they put out 20.

"only 20 lfa's are made and sold".

    WTF are you smoking?

    It was 500.

In ENGLISH thats a general encompassing statement.

Just like mine was for the sales of the USA.

BTW, all of the LFAs are sold.

And..who the fuck cares about dubai not buying the lfa? LOL

    Theyre sold out anyway.

  • what has english got to do with this, are you trying to discriminate me, what job do you do huh, what cars do you own?? if you don't like the gtr then don't comment, fuck the lfa, 340g when you can get a ferrari 458 a lambo lp560 and a gtr!

my gtr and audi rs4 will wipe whatever you own.

  • And youre still wrong about the LFAs.

As far as the GTRs...ill see it when i believe it. I think u were lied to.

  • go do some research they only can make 500 lfa's 20 per month, no one in dubai has ordered one. So LFA = fail

i was lied to, maybe you should make some money, and go over seas, Gtr is a global supercar, their are 100million plus living in japan, so 16000 gtr's is a small amount like the 3400 in 300million US, so why would i be lied too??

  • i luv the fact the philosphy the japanese use when they make cars"we'll give you more than you paid for"

  • Cheaper then 911's,R8's,lambo's,vettes. easy to tune, who wouldnt drive one?

  • OMFG the Lexus LF-A is not going to sell

  • its gonna but only 500 would be made.

  • the LFA has been sold out.., there was people in a 5 year waiting list..

  • yeah thats good man

  • Why does the title say "Nissan GT-R Making a Mass-Produced Supercar". When at 1:53-1:55 secs in the narrator says, "Its not exactly mass produced". Also in the description it says "Given its limited production numbers" Inside I have a question for you. Why did you say its Mass produced in the title, but the narrator and description says other wise? Explain please.

  • Love this new toy...

    Hehe... :D

  • I am blown away by how nissan engineer's the gt-r.

  • god i love that car. nissan in genius

  • Is that all you think about is voided warranties?

  • dude, he's right, I used to love the car, but think about, they sell the car with a self destruct button! if I pay 100 grand for a car it better be supported by the company, if it breaks itself.

  • Seriously dude. The last page of the service manual has has SEVEN spaces to record the serial numbers of routine transaxle replacements... at $20,000+ labor a pop!

I've seen pictures of gearboxes that were opened with 3k miles that looked like other boxes with 20 times the miles.

  • Go Japanese.....

  • hey kids.. learn engineering.. u'll which is better

  • Wow, so a V6 Skyline with 480 Hp has the same 0-60 as a V8 683 HP LS9 Corvette... bad ass right? Just admit it, the GTR is a better built machine, and if given the equal number of HP, it would beat the ZR1...lol I can see you do respect the car though...What other V6s are in this discussion? lol

  • Serdomthwart and tselegala, lol the corvette has good handling, that's why it beat the GTR in the Nürburgring, but like i said, it also has an extra $30,000 onto the price tag and an extra 140 hp under the hood. They are two totally different classes. Put the GTR in the same HP class and it's a different story. Matter of fact, it's amazing that the GTR is almost at the same level of the ZR1 considering it has less HP and a smaller price tag. The GTR is an AMAZING machine!

  • zr1 only beat GTR @ nurburgring by a couple seconds. That's a 13 mile course.

Plus, the zr1 only has 2 seats and the GTR has 4 seats + a big trunk. And also, the zr1 wouldn't even move in snow, meanwhile the GTR tears that up.

Anyone who thinks 4 seconds on a 13 mile course is the end all be all is someone who will never buy these cars.

  • obvious with racing two cars with that kind of difference?? uhh

yes it is a small difference. It took the driver of the zr1 several tries to get the time he got, and on one try shaved off a full 10 seconds.

4 seconds isn't a big difference on a 13 mile course. Lots of things like time, drivers, weather conditions even small ones like wind or just a puddle somewhere etc. all affect a lap time on that course, which is known to be raining on one side and sunny on the other at the same time.

  • Yeah and take off over half a second on the ZR1 timers check out the comparison of the GTR and ZR1 Nurb times on here. Independant timer against GTR and ZR1 timer and the ZR1 loses over half a second so they still cheated. Anyway the ZR1 is a more powerfull car and it can bearly leave the GTR behind ZR1 time 7:26.4 now the Series II GTR 7:26.7 nothing in it at all and the ZR1 is supposed to be the better car?

  • "halfway through lap you will notice the car in front is completely out of sight"

    no it fuckin isnt.

and you missed the point- being that time could be shaven off/is variable on a 13 mile course; lots of things like driver skill differences, wind, etc, can affect it

because Secondly, Nissan has already reset gtrs time and its now only .3 of a second slower- on a damn 13 mi. course. That is nothing. Maybe 1 lap in a 1 mile course, it could be somethin. But NOT a 13 mi course like Ring. Period.

  • Also, most everybody takes "100s" of laps there with the allotted hours they are given. It costs money to rent the track, so you can't just have all the time there and times are not good when its open to the public. Last time nissan only had it for a few hours on the weekend days they were there.

and btw, correction: there is no point in spending money on a zr1, when a gtr exists*.

  • A turboed v6 almost beating a supercharged big block for like 30 grand less I would take the GT-R.

  • the amount of cylinders in engineering terms means nothing. displacement is what creates power, cylinders can only reduce vibration and make the powerband more linear. btw the small block in the zr1 weighs 20% less than the little turboed v6 in "godzilla".

  • Displacement provides more torque in relation to horsepower. Cylinder number provides more horsepower in relation to torque. This is because the more cylinders you have, the time between ignitions is reduced, revving faster. Faster = power; harder = torque. A 6.0 V12 will always be more powerful than a 6.0 V8.

  • americans cant build cars. once thier cars tries to take on conrners, the wheels fall off

  • whoo go GT-R

  • GREATEST CAR EVER!!!!!!!!!

by the way, american car manufacturers are loosing business.

  • actually GMminivans9968, ZR1 0-60=3.4. Compare the rest but you also need to consider this... ZR1 $100,000< GTR $70,000 haha Throw that extra $30,000 into performance parts for the GTR & guess what...the competition isn't so close anymore, matter of fact, the GTR would take it easy. It's just the truth. Yes the ZR1 is fast...but it also has an extra 140 HP. It's like picking on a handicap kid in a wheel chair and bragging about it. lol Pathetic. The GTR, considering the price, is the better car.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, the GTR is 3.2! The ZR1 is 3.4...lol

  • you couldn't squeeze a lot more performance out of the GTR with only $30k, the Nissan is one of those few things engineered so well that the parts you put on it have very little margin for improvement, combined with the fact that if you TOUCH the engine, or boost or anything bolted to it, the GTR's E.C.U. and plethora of sensors will fight you to even let the engine start. Nissan also spent TONs of money on developing GREAT aerodynamics. When you buy a GTR, it's pretty much never gonna change.

  • have you even read up on the GT-R lately? There's more and more companies coming out things to improve performance on the GT-R.....that was the rumor in the beginning...not anymore....just read up on it bro

  • Nope... Lots of tuning for under $30k

  • Mines Company and other company has already broke the ECU code..theres GTR pushing well over 800HP..

  • well does mines company warranty your transmission for a 800hp car? I wouldnt wanna mess with the vdc until mines company find a way to hack into the blackbox and remove my usage history

  • LOL once you do any major mods any car warranty is gone. Alot of manafacturer's only allow things like exhaust or wheels covered under warranty, you go any further then that and warranty gone.

  • you're a fuckin idiot.

  • yea my civic hatch ls does 0-60 in 3.0 second if i had traction. i beat that Zr1 going to fish tail on the second gear. yes it can run in that time but you can't run it in that time. yes my car can go 12second if i had traction.

  • Corvette would take the gtr in a drag, but in a race track, it might be different story.

  • The way the economie is,I don't think you will see them flying of showroom floors. And if you do it is some pretty rich muthafuckas buying them just for the hell of it.

  • Nissan has always been for the working man to afford. When you go to get a GTR,after everything is said and done you will end up paying 86k to 87k for that car,in the US. That monthly,is like $1100 with good credit, and a 10,000 down payment. Not that many ppl can afford that and a house. You would have to live with your moma and have to jobb to do something like that. And then think about the insurance on that car 400 to 500 if you are under 25.

  • heinzkitzvelvet, all the cars you named of are 4door cars.Ppl with that kind of money is not looking to pay 71k on a nissan.I love the car,but I just feel if the price was more around 50k they would seel alot more.Think of it this why,out of all the years, when has there ever been a 70k nissan.

  • Da!! Here in Hong Kong, each & every ferrari owner has a GTR, incl. myself! Cars are toys here. We don't care for $. Most of the GTR in HK are fitted with "Mine's" ecu (US$2564) & titanium mid & rear exhaust (US$8974), producing 550bhp. It's reliable & it performs!! It's a rich man's toy! As for the badge...it only concerns ppl who r insecure!! Btw, it cost US$153,846 for a GTR in Hong Kong. Insurance is about US$6400/year!

  • I don't think that car is going to sell,in the US, as much as they are thinking it going to.People that have 70 to 80k to spend on a car is not looking for a nissan.Thats z06,viper money.People that buy nissans sport cars are mostly kids. Not alot of kind have that kind of money. We will see how it dose, because at the end of the day that is still a nissan. This will be a car that you will not see every day.

  • McBurner I think you are dead wrong. This is the most anticipated car since I don't know what. Most people who own supercars don't drive them every day. They drive S4's or M5's or WRX's for performance and practicality. For $70,000 the GT-R will easily outperform everything but the most expensive, top tier hypercars. They have already pre-sold the 1500 unit allotment for the U.S. so nissan increased it to 2500. They'll have no problem moving the GT-R. It's out running everything.

  • "now let's see ferrari do that!" no one in the market for a ferrari would consider a nissan.

  • It's a GTR fool. Poor man's supercar. Now, your in your 200K gts and a GTR pulls up and gives you a run for your money for only 70K with all wheel drive, better gas milage, better reliabilities, and on a raining day, the GTR is King. Come on suck it up the Japs rulezzzzzzzzz.

  • I consider myself a Mustang guy at heart but I've been anticipating this thing's arrival for a while. It's gonna kill.

I can't wait to see people doing the usual bolt-on stuff... I mean, imagine one of these with intakes, throttle-bodies, exhaust, a chip, and a bit more boost!

Also looking forward to seeing people simply gut and cage theirs to get better numbers. That pig weighs over 3900 lbs. and it's STILL that fast. Let's see a svelte, stripped-down, 2900 lb. version huh? The GTR-R!

  • nothing good really bolts onto this car. intake maybe but not worth it. everything is top of the line. the exhaust and turbo components are all one piece so to replace it will be extremely expensive and the ecu is locked so it cant be chipped or modified in any way without taking it to a high end pro like mine, amuse, cobb which is also super expensive so all in all its not worth it. just get the v-spec or evo-spec is you want to tune. gutting is another story. theres so much to strip

  • Sry bro... i would let you in but my job is in the line. i do deal with company secret test cars and such. even for just telling where i work for i can lose my job.

  • i dont mind workin for Nissan though..lol

  • i'm saying this cuz i work for a company that imports cars from Japan and i do test each one of them especially Skylines...R32, R33, and maybe R34 when the time comes in Canada...

  • I live in canada by toronto can i get a job with you LOL. But seriously message me.

  • Some of these people are right regarding on Brand stereotype biasing...sure Skyline is a good car no doubt about it...but its not the best outhere...any car can be better than the other if its modified to the fullest...neither Japanese or Domestic..its jus 70% of the time Japanese are made better in technology and quality. but again it shouldn't be called the best car out there...

  • bye bye corvette/viper/porsche... dont forget to whipe your ass i think you shit yourself. hahahahaha

  • the gtr is pretty crazy. if i was looking for performance right out of the box, this is what i'd be looking at. like nicholastan91 said though, it's not a car for tuners. location specific speed limiter? integral turbine housings/exhaust manifolds? the damn ecu? i hear you can't even change the wheels without the comp throwing an error code. (due to pressure monitoring system.) what the f*ck nissan? why'd you screw us?

  • is that fuel sucker?

  • this is why demestic cars suck ass. look at the work that goes into that GTR!

  • meh..that Nissan GTR cost around 160.000USD in Singapore..that sucks..its almost as much as the new BMW M3..i dun understand why so many ppl rather get the GTR then the M3..worst is some ppl actually sell their Lambo Gallardo for a GTR..comeon..its a Nissan.i know its a GTR..its so fucking powerful..but wow..its still a Nissan..not worth selling ur Gallardo for that!! just get a Rex..throw in 100k. get that thing to max out..u can kick that GTR ass anytime..u can keep ur Gallardo too!

  • dude...u can strip any car down and put in 100k in and it can beat most if not all cars on the streets...shit u can even get a toyota, strip it down, and build it up ur own and it can beat the lambo...and with ur comment, it seems ur bias against car brands that is not as expensive as lambo or bmw...price isnt everything.

  • i know..but for tuners..why would ppl go for a gtr? the GTR engine is almost maxed out..nothing much u can do about it..its best to leave it stock for the new gtr..ppl here are selling off their lambo maybe coz they are afraid they might lose to a gtr when leaving the lights..who knows.

  • Rock on Nissan!

  • I brought my 350z in 2003 for $32,000. I was pissed off when the '05 Pontiac GTO came out for $29,000 and SMOKED my car. And the SRT4 was only $19,000 and was just as fast as the 350z and the SRT4 has 4 cylinders. If I traded my car in for a GT-R and I find out that in 2010 a faster and less expensive American car was made, I'd give up buying Nissans.

  • The 350z was sort of disappointing. Even though it's fun to drive, it gets smoked by the 300zx...i doubt the gt-r will get smoked by the r34

  • Was it more reliable though? Japanese cars tend to last longer and keep high resale prices compared to american cars.

I'm sure it probably smoked it on a straight, but I doubt the GTO could beat the 350Z on the track. Heck, the 350z looks much cooler anyways.

  • True that, but I doubt anyone will be able to come out with a faster, better, and cheaper car then this one anytime soon. I mean this car is just incredible for the money, just unbelievable.

  • Z06 is cheaper then the GTR and fun ass hell to drive.

  • all depends on ur personal preferences

  • If it's only about how fast a car is, then your point is clear - I buy a car because I like the looks and engine and don't care if there's more out there that are faster - sure, a Viper will eat my car any day, but that's not the reason why I buy a car. A 350Z will be my next car for sure - I just love 6 cylinder engines. On part of GTO's - they are more expensive in Europe then the U.S. - really like them a lot but they cost the same (or more) then a 350Z. Just my 2 cents. Peace out, Eddie

  • next time just lease your cars you will come out better in the long run.

  • Dude, 350Z isnt something i would go racing with. The fact is Nissan always gives you more, look at the standard 4 cyl Altima vs Camry and Accord. Altima gives more powers, 2.5L, more space, more sporty style, nicer rims, twin exhausts. In the V6 it gives u 3.5L as opposed to 3L in others. GT-R also gives u more than anyother sportscar for the money. I always buy nissan and always will

TIP: check the stats, specs and 0-60, top seed, hp figures b4 you buy a car for racing.

  • I did, in 2003 it was one of the fastest sports car out for it's price. Like I stated, it was fast in '03 until 2 years later when the GTO and the upgraded SRT-4s came out. Read carefully.

  • That's no tip, real racers drive for the enjoyment of driving. Each car has a unique characteristic in which are matcher to the car historically. Look for pricing in terms of initial value and package. By just checking stats, don't bother going racing. You aren't doing it for the numbers, You are doing it for the pleasure of driving. Besides, if it's racing you're all about. Tune the car, because if you know hands on, then you know about the car.

  • awsome, lovely machine

  • Rock and roll!

  • lol dedicated team of "test" drivers ;-)

  • cant wait for this car!

  • gotta love the japs for their fast, reliable and good quality production of cars!

  • wow thats awsum. american manufacturers usually dont care how they do things but this stuff is hard ass :o

  • HA,Ha, ferrari couldnt even do that~~~

  • WOOhoo... sweet!!!

  • The best car in the world.I can't wait to get mine. All black on black, all day baby.

  • Go Nissan. I'd love to be one of those test drivers.

  • GOOO NISSIAN!!!!
