This song and watch?v=2qdBXL7aP60 is very different from their later work in Oi Dai. I can appreciate why it is highly sought after. I haven't found any YT vids with songs from Musta Lindu. Can I assume Musta Lindu is in this same style? or is it another transitional album?
@ralphyboy25 The first record and AFAIK also 'Musta Lindu' are from 1st generation Värttinä - basically a group of enthusiastic school children from Rääkkylä. There seems to be preciously few songs from ML available in YT or otherwise - so I really don't know, but the material in it seems to be a bit more refined. In the first record they seem to sometimes express 'more energy than skill' ;) - nevertheless a sign of refreshing new air they already then brought to the Finnish ethno/folk scene.
So beautiful! I really need to find a copy of their first album...
