best game ever. beats the hell out of the 2k bullshit and it its by far better than the show. this game was amazing. they had everything figured out. they had nice batting, great pitching scheme, good fielding basics, etc. there was no area in the game you looked at and were like "wtf!?!? this sucks." any problems you can manage to find in the game are minor problems, and are problems all games had at the time

My friend and I used to spend hours playing this game. MVP 2005 is still a better game than 2k10 or any 2k game. It was completely realistic and easy to learn. Although I'm a strict Xbox player, this game was definitely best on PC. Hope they bring back MVP Baseball soon.

This was the best baseball game I have ever owned.

This blows 2k9 right out of the water, the gameplay was perfect, the pitching was dead on, the hitting was easy to pick up, just the feel of the game was incredible.

Stupid 2K sports for buying out the baseball license. MVP 2005 (which I still play) is the best ever period.

I know 2k baseball sucks. On MLB 2k6, I discovered a little cheat tip! If you have a runner at 2nd and you throw a wild pitch outside to a right-handed batter at PNC Park, the ball will ricochet off the backstop in the EXACT SAME WAY. You move the cather to the left to pick it up, and the runner at 2nd(who advances of course) will have turned around 3rd for home. Throw to 3rd and the runner will realize his mistake and turn back, but it will be too late, and OUT!! It works every single time!

Hey, at least EA makes PC games. So even if you were a 2k football fan, you still have a game for your Xbox, PS3, or whatever. 2k isn't intelligent enough to make PC games, so we basically lost a game with them getting the exclusive license.

I think this is a fantastic vid.

I started playing mvp 3 days ago (ok, i'm a little behind, so what!!) and absolutely love it. I used to play mlb 07 the show which is a good game too, but much more arcady.

MVP is a really deep baseball sim.

And with all the mods its very up to date. Love what the modding communitie did with uniforms, stadiums, player faces etc etc.

I'm now playing it online through direct ip.

I agree with you, I still owe this game for XBOX and with the use of an XBOX Action Replay I have updated the rosters using soft mods. This game still is the best out there. The 2k Sports games for 2006 and 2007 have not been able to top this game. I hope soon EA regains the right to make MLB licensed games.
