I work at The Children's Museum in Indianapolis and we were currently assisting in an effort to assist Dr. Hawass in building a National Antiquities Museum in Cairo, as well as the Suzanne Mubarek Children's Museum. Now I just pray that all the staff and interns we have over there stay safe. It's really sad what's happening over there. I work at The Children's Museum in Indianapolis and we were currently assisting in an effort to assist Dr. Hawass in building a National Antiquities Museum in Cairo, as well as the Suzanne Mubarek Children's Museum. Now I just pray that all the staff and interns we have over there stay safe. It's really sad what's happening over there. I guess all we can do is pray for the free and oppressed peoples of the Middle East and hope the violence ends soon.

@Procharmo is that's why people always refer to Egypt as a middle eastern country. It's amazing how many people don't know Egypt is in Africa.

@ultimatechorus Well you have to take into account the time at which the treasures were discovered. The UK exported Eugenics and Darwinism, the idea that Africans were sub human. Then when they made the discovery they distanced Egypt from Africa conceptually even though it is physically in the continent..

Don't mistake judging this happening. Social unrest is allways used by common thieves to reach their objectives. It was a human chain of protesters formed around the museum to prevent more damage happening.
Please make a difference between people with political motives and those which only use the opportunity to steal.
