  • this is AMAZING

  • was at a punk party back when this came out....i had the 12 inch and asked to play it,,,they let me and when it started they started booin and shoutin 2 get it off....i felt a fool but it was them who are the narrow minded fools......great 2 hear it again

  • People can hate the remixes as much as they want but they are what got me to pick up the rest of their albums. They certainly didn't mind adapting one of their old a capella tracks to Delerium's music later on. Same idea.

  • Fuckin' beautiful.<3

  • Love it <3 I whish there where bands like this.

  • Eeek - I'm glad I never came across this when I used to buy their cds in the 90s. The unmixed material is so much better.

  • MARVELLOUS !

  • interesting...

  • Ghastly

  • I have the unremixed version... and i love just her voice version...

  • I think the composer is William Holborne.

  • Так красиво!)))

  • @Bhima38 pleased to see that there are some MSG fans in Russia ^^

this is the band i value and respect the most

    cheers from Latvia

  • Jesus, Katharine Blake vs. Joceyln Montgomery, is this a music video or a beauty contest?

  • @alfamatic It's an angelic contest, both in looks and voices ^^

  • here in the UK I managed to find a copy of 'Fairytales' ; pretty rare find for the UK !

  • Such a beautiful song:D

    so powerfull

  • finally! just stumbled on this by accident. remember my ex had given me a cd called "Darkwave" and this song was on it and i loved this. amazing, 6 years later i find it was Miranda Sex Garden the whole time!!

  • beautiful ! my ears and eyes opened :O

  • Who is prettier? All are angels... The look of the dark is... And the expression of the blonde... God

  • i love this song. as a teen i would d.j. parties and totally blow minds when i played this version. this is the first time i see the video. awesome!

  • This is really good I like it. Is this neoclassical darkwave?

  • I posted what I could find of the 'Peep Show' music video as a response. It's been quite some time since I've seen that video, and blows this one out of the water. Check it out! :D

  • I love that people are still watching, listening and commenting on this music. You guys rule.

  • Rumor had it that this was recorded before Enigma and that due to a cock-up at their label it was released too late!

  • I remember seeing Miranda Sex Garden live in about 92, supporting Nitzer Ebb. Stunning doesn't even come CLOSE to describing it. Chilling and beautiful.

  • I love Mir Sex Garden when feeling melancholic, so few people really appreciate them

  • Gush forth my tears

    and stay the burning

    of my poor heart

    or her eyes

    choose you whether

    O' peevish fond desire

Alas my sighs still blow the fire

  • sarah brightman unplugged

  • Fell in love with it when it first came out and still love it! Excellent vocals! Haunting!

  • I prefer the original version also; if anyone knows of a video for it, that would be awesome to see. I tried to match up the original song to the video, but it's too different, and ends up looking just... Wrong...

It truly is sad that this is the song most people will remember Miranda Sex Garden by.

  • could not disagree more - this is by far their best song ... the strange mixture of electrostuff with the voices fits so well... unlike the later pseudo-rock boring things! I remember looking for other stuff of MSG, because I was so fascinated by this song and was completely disappointed that there was nothing comparable! But hey, it's all a matter of taste...

  • beautiful song. I love this version.

  • in the video the girls are credited as composers. Weird. It's John Holborne's song

  • Seems like the person who wrote those credits in the video was a complete ignorant. He even misspelled one of the singer's surname (it's McCusker not MuCuster).

  • I hadn't noticed the misstakes in the credits when I got the video; I'll see if I can fix them with whatever wimpy video editing software I have installed at the moment :P

  • the one guy saying something about darkwave cd music of the dark was right, i have that cd and i love it, i dont know, at first i was thinking they couldnt hit the high notes for the song but i was wrong... this is a good remix, but its not as good as original IMO

  • Madrigals never sounded finer, nor Madrigaleners fairer

  • She definitely has classical music involved alot in her goth music. The eeriness appears alot in the harmonies I find. I still think this music is best on reflection and for thoughtful moments and not to be considered true gothic music.

  • used to love te rampling mix...

    takes me way back!!

  • <3 magical...

  • This song is much better on Darkwave Vol.2

I really don't understand why someone would take an excellent work of Darkwave, and remix it with an upbeat, techno drum machine. EGAD!!

    Ad Nausium!

However, i didn't know the Miranda Sex Garden girls wer so beautiful,lol..

  • Was just listening to this the other day. I love this mix. Takes me back...

  • And it was like for a moment, O my brothers, some great bird had flown into the milkbar and I felt all the malenky little hairs on my plott standing endwise and the shivers crawling up like slow malenky lizards and then down again.

  • Do watch that, oh Dim, if to continue to be on live thou dost wish.

  • Used to play this in chillout rooms 15yrs ago... there is a better mix on the 12"

  • Beautiful...calm but also passionate

  • This remains one of my favourite songs still to this day... they have managed to make something otherworldly with this song... hairs stand on the back of my neck every time I hear it. I love it!

  • Great band -I went to see them a few times. Shame Kelly went off with Jesus!

  • wonderful !

  • ...dah, purist!

  • we sang this song in school (unremixed :D) before i even knew a band had sung it. it's really old isn't it? like more than 100 years old.

  • WOW! A BLAST from the PAST...I have this uk import cd single and it's still one of my faves to this day. THANKS for the MEMORIES!

  • Hmm.. I've never heard of this band before. I like the song, it's beautiful on a whole different level. Glad I came across it.

  • I'm so in love in that song and vid!!!!!!!

  • great song, thanks for sharing

  • This won't play beyond the first few seconds no matter how long you give it to load. I think something has gone wrong with the file. Any chance of re-posting it?
