  • Nice car . I own a 1987 park avenue . I loved that car the seats wear the best seats I sat on . Better then my 1996 volvo wagon . The seats are hard in them . But the seats in the buick was soft . Im looking for a park avenue right now under 2000.00 dollars with cloth red seats like this one .Nice car I also had the lights with non seal beam type .

  • @ducklandwikeno nice man! what happened to ur 87? lol

anyways theres still a bunch of them floating around. there reliable cars and comebine oth modern and classic styling of the 70s and 80s .

i dont make to many vids on the buick anymore, but i am hopig to get a starting vidieo and such so subscribe to stay tune for that!

    thanks for watching man!

  • Hope the car got the TLC it needed since you uploaded the video.

It really deserves it. Fully loaded indeed - electronic climate control at a time when most cars in the UK didn't even have A/C as an option, and car cassette/radio and heater were extras.

Looking at it one way, the interior is ridiculous and vulgar, but with the passage of time, I think it can be now appreciated for its historic value.

It really is so pimp though!

  • @vcolinc hey, thanks for the comment!

i thought the interior was the best part! LOL the plush foamy seats, u never see that anymore. they were literally floating couches on wheels.

climate control etc were pretty common in luxury cars from GM.

thanks for watching man! im still working on this car.., hopefully be making a starting video this spring

    subscrube if yo like :)

  • Nice car. I love these "C-bodies", they're very underappreciated. Thanks for sharing it.

  • @chrisgreen67

    hey thanks man!

yeah c-bodies are very well built. even though they are uni body they were built to ride and coast downt he road like good old big body on frame cars.

thanks for watching man! subscribe for future update videos on the buick if you like! lol

  • @randomrazr I know they were a big letdown for a lot of people from the '84 rear-drivers, but I like them. The Cadillac and Olds 98 are great, but the Electra/Park Ave. are my favorites. Also like the LeSabre 2-door and T-Type.

  • @chrisgreen67

haha yeah, my dad got this car. it must have been nice to some people , considering its a full redesign, a brand new fuel injected engine system and sleek design, the park avenues were definately seemed high tech to someone at the time i would think, though i do still kinda wis h my dad got the 84 big body park avenue sometimes, though considering the gas prices these days, the 3.8 is good enough lol.

  • @chrisgreen67

i personally think the buick park ave were the best downsized looking cars, not because i have one its just, it all worked together.the downsizedcadillacs were nice but something about the exterior im not a huge fan of lol, though the interiors of them were awesome.

the olds98 im not much of a fan of, it just didnt seem right but then again its my opinion,i like how buick made the park aves completly new and how it combined modern tech. with classic big body styles and interior.

  • excellent cars,,,I still own 2; have went about 4 others. Keep the fluids full; when you get to about 200,000 miles, change the timing belt.............don't question this, just do it even if it is running fine............They are suppose to last 250,000, but do it at 200,000....I had one that went at 205,000.........anyway, once they go, they destroy the engine.....but replace them, and you might just get another 200,000 out of it!

  • @megabuickman

they will easily go over 300k ive heard lol

p.s sorry for the late reply haha

  • Cool video, that is one good looking Park Ave. My 87 Lesabre is as base as they get, but I still love that car. Its been in the family since it was new and has been there my whole life. I still like the way these cars handle, and still rides nice after all these years.

  • haha thanks for watching this!

yeah this car has been in my family since it was new too

    its older then me! lol

i came home from the hospital in this car 4 years after my dad bought it.

its a very nice ride and reliable. would definately be a great car once i get it on the road. would definately be an easier car to fix then new cars on the road today lol

  • These GM front-drive cars were actually good to drive and much more stylish and luxurious than the ones today. But in the 1980's, gas was cheap and in a time of great prosperity, people still wanted bigger cars. They would sell better today...guess they were a little ahead of their time.

  • love da song

  • lol at the whole idea of the love for this car ahhahahahahhahah

  • huh?wtf are u talking about

  • @lynette1953 haha still no reply?

  • @randomrazr haha still runnin' your brains?

  • @lynette1953

    nope

  • clean Buick Park Avenue check out my 1989 Buick Regal Custom

  • Hi ! Please, when I can download this slide-show program ?? it´s free ?

  • uhh, i used muvee maker but it came with my computer

u can try using windows movie maker it can make slideshows to, but that also came wit my computer howveer it should have came with urs if ur using windwos xp or windows vista

were u trying to make a slideshow?

  • Love your car! The 85-90 Park Avenue/Electra/98 and 86-91 88/LeSabre's are in my all-time fave car list! I've personally owned a few:85 98 Reg Brghm (Blue), 87 LeSabre Cust (Gray), 87 Park (Champagne), 89 LeSabre Cust (Ruby), 86 Delta 88 (Blk Cherry), And similar yr/GMs...86 Toronado Trofeo (Ruby), 89 Sedan Deville (Dk Blue), 90 Regal Gran Sport (Black), And GMs...00 Park Avenue (Silver),98 Deville (Shale). I've owned 69 cars in 21 years. I'm a car geek! LOL!!!

  • if i did my math right, thats about 3.8months each car. WOW lol where do u get all these llol

and thanks for checking out my vid. i know these cars arent very attartcive to most people, but its a sentimental value car to me and brings back tonnes of memories and u cant beat those plush park avenue seats! lol

subscribe if u want to see new vids of it lol

what did u do with all those cars?

  • nice car! gotta love Buicks!

what is pictured at the time 1:10 in the video? they look like the lights for my backup sensors in my 2001 Park Ave.?

  • im to lazy to wait for the vid to load but im asuming ur tlaking about the headlight indecators?

there jsut a nifty little luxury toy that came with it. their son for the front and one for the back (which is on the headliner in the back)

  • it just shows that ur headlights are working. if one of ur ligths are burnt out, then the light is off lol. it also shows when ur high beams are on or if u r blinking. iil show u whenever i get a stupid battey lol

lol i didnt know they still make em for the park aves after this model.

  • btw rate, and, if u want to be alerted when i make more vids subscribe lol

  • that's such a great feature. haha :)

    I will subscribe.

  • lol, so u ahve one of these on ur park ave too?

  • no, mine has the ultrasonic rear parking assist, with three little lights in the rear headliner that light up as you get too close to something. it also dings. but the lights kind of look like urs. :)

  • Thanks for posting the old ads. I've been looking for any old commercials for these cars. My mom used to have a very nice red '85 Electra (338, I think it was). It had the auto leveling system, but seemed to work very slowly if at all. 1st car she had where the A/C worked :). Could you get Bose speakers/system as an option for these cars?

  • yeah mine came witha delco bose 6 speakers stereo system.

lol doe sur mom still ahve it? or junked now? lol

  • Prob junked by now. It had a knock to it when it was sold to a guy who plowed it into a telephone pole. It ran very well while she had it. I have a '91 LeSabre now that has 213,000 miles and still runs very well. These cars were one of the few that GM seemed to get right.

  • Wow man. Beautiful Buick you got there :)

  • hey thanks! appreciate ur comment. good luck with ur oldsmobile. take care of it casue olds is no longer here :(

  • No problem. Ya oldsmobile's gone but that's not all. So's the 3800. They cancel production on August 22 of this year

  • they stoped making the 3800???

dam lol. such reliabel engines. and the most simplest. unlike japense cars.

what is buick (gm) using now?

  • Ya, for sure Indeed a shame. I've seen buick using the 3.6L VVT. The Lucerne and the Allure (Lacrosse) might have leftover 3800 powerplants.

  • hopefulyl maybe their coming out wiht a 3800 "hybrid" lol

  • to bad that song totally sucked

  • this was a video response to another youtube user who used this song for his buick.

sorry u dont like it. just play it with the volume on mute. no need for negative comments

  • That would be me =] I like the car, and I put Bob Dylans version of this song as mine, because Bob Dylans voice is not too good, but his lyrics are good and the music is rich, full, and overall pretty awesome. My Buick is the same way. It may not be like new, but it is a comfortable, reliable, overall awsome tank of a car that stands out from the rest of the cars as it is a large, chrome-laden projectile.

  • nice ot hear from u again lol

have u checked out nmy underbody vids?

im worried the frame under the engine is bad.

    whats urs like? lol

    peace

  • Hey! I had an '86 Park Ave. just like this. Same red color and everything. Had mine from May, 1989 to October, 1995. I seem to recall selling it the very day that O.J. Simpson was acquitted in L.A. Does that mean I should get another Park Ave. the day he's sentenced this December?

  • u had same car? very nice. whye du sell it??? llol

i dont think simpson would have anyhting to sdo with selling ur car lol

u could get another one, perosanlly u should get a brand new car. free of problems and up to date. unles u already have one then u could get one as a hobby car.

i like the parka ves before 1984 when theyw ere big tanks.

i dont mind mine, it has sentimental value, easier on gas, FUEL INGECTED, and reliable.

    and easier to park LOL

    peace

  • VERY NICE CAR BUICK'S are the shit....

  • damn, i want to buy this car :/ buick electra park avenue I WANT IT!!! but i live in mexico ¬¬ soo bad...

  • brutal

  • my car is brutal????? wtf man.

  • thought no one likes these cars

not my fav...but its looks like a beauty, ill post some of my ride soon

how do you clean your whitewalls?

  • lol i understand. id say 90% of the mid to late 80s cars werent really "eye catching" or somehting nice to dirve, but hey, buick didnt do to bad of a job. if not one of ht ebest cars of the 80s, then most reliable thanks to a 3.8l v6.

how do i clean the whitewalls?

    i dont lol

    maybe soap and water?

i honeslty have no idea how to clean em. id suggest a tire or rubber cleaner but hey what do i know lol.

what kind of car do u have

  • Dish soap and water with a scrubbing brush works as well as anything. But don't use that on that paint--you will scratch it.

  • haha i used soap and water to wash the ca off when i first got it home. o well. i dontthink i scrtahced anything.

what is the proper to clean a car

  • Soap and water is fine, it's the scrubbing brush that will cause trouble if there's dirt on the finish. Get as much dirt off as you can with high pressure water (a garden hose nozzle should do the trick) and use a soapy sponge to scrub the car. Then you can scrub if needed.

You can use the scrubber on non-painted parts like wheels and tires with the exception of the headlight lenses.

  • Nice video. That is a nice car.

  • thanks. i hope it will be a nice car someday

  • Sweet video! The car looks to be i great shape overall, so it hopefully will prove the bulletproof reliability of these cars. Hope everyting goes well with getting it fixed up. If you have any questions on how to fix stuff, message me as I have prob. had to fix it on my park avenue or another one of our c or h body cars

  • this car isnt road worthy yet so i dont know how its good on gas and i was to young when my dad was driving it to know lol

anyways, how good on gas is ur car?

  • I'd take my '89 LeSabre Limited any day, thank you. I just wish it didn't have so much rust and missing paint. Interior is excellent though. Buick really knew how to build em

  • park avenue ftw

  • wow! astonishing car! It even had digital climate control!

  • hey thans for actually checking out what car i had lol. ye so this is it. i heard its a uni body style meaning its designed to "crumple" u could say to absorb the engery of an impact....i dunnno lol thanks for looking into this for me

  • your welcome

  • Nice car! how is it on gas?

  • its quit average on gas. its niehter a gas saver or a gas guzziler u could say lol. i believe on "average" (highway and city) i heard 23 miles per gallon but i could be wrong, and i havent driven it yet to find out lol.

  • I have the same car, it's blue, right now I am trying to learn how to fix the A/C unit, then I can start restoring the interior here and there.

  • nice. whats wrong wit the interior? you should make a vid on it

  • I'll do that this evening. Basically it consists of some small cigarette burns (My wife and I have that terrible habit) the door panel on the driver's side is loose, and the power windows have problems on that side. The ashtray, is kinda well... screwed, and the roof covering is tacked up. The video will show exactly what I'm talking about.

  • nice nice i would love to see a blue buick for once lol. show everything of ru car lol im tiredof seeing short vids on some users cars lol (like reallt short ones that are 15 seconds long lol)

  • This is awesome. I love to see somebody restoring such a nice car. Not very many people would think twice about restoring a car like this, being that it is not that rare or anything. Thats what people say about mine. But I don't care what they say I love my car I'm gonna restore it and you should too. This is great car and I can't wait to see videos of it when its running. I love the sound of Buick 3.8 Engines!!! 5 Stars!!!!!

  • is it that common of a car? i rarely ever see buick electras of these series aroundd .

  • I didn't say it was common, I said it wasn't that rare like a 1987 Buick GNX or a 1970Pontiac GTO "The Judge". Thats what I meant I didn't say it was a common car. And I agree with you. I don't really see these cars around that much anymore. It's great that your restoring one.

  • if u ment by restore as in literally, then, maybe someday but not anytime soon, maybe a decade? lol i just want this roadworthy. coluld never afford a full restoration

  • Oh lol. Well still thats good your getting that beast on the road. Bring the 80's back on the road!!! Take it easy and take of that buick bud!!! -Paul

  • cool car.

  • lol thanks. same here, im not planning on getting it on the road anytime soon. insurnace is to dam high for me so im just taking this slow.

what kind of car are u trying to fix up?

  • 1984 ford LTD Crown Victoria

  • werent u the guy who said that u had a buick too??

  • Yes I did ,but i got ride of it two days later after the incedent.

  • sounds like you have a good plan going for your car. I have a car that i am trying to restore but it is going to take some time doing so. cool

  • WOW,looks like you have really cleaned it up!!!!!

  • ye i did a ltitle bit. carp, lol i accdientaly clicked on remove on that other comment. he was right, the ligh monitors were only on park avenue.

the little small sag on the headliner seems to be unchanged, im not really worried about it now since its not getting worse...and gets better when its hot in the car lol. anyways, still waiting for battery of course.

    thanks for watching!
