this is sad. I went to a real tourney last saturday and lemme say the guys i faced had more skill in there pinky than these guys have in there whole body. Why did brawl have to be advertised like this to the general public? There are actually real tourneys with really good players in this game but no we see shitty matches like this.

Dude, i don't think the items would've mattered. Yeah, yoshi got 2 kills with a smash ball, but even with no items, he's probably the best Yoshi i've every seen. He wrecked.

Wow, I came back to this video to see how my Yoshi game has changed... And ironically, I can say my Yoshi was WAY better back then than now (I guess that's what I get for practicing Falco and Snake). The only thing I saw wrong in this video is that the Classic Controller made me press up B instead of up A a lot, and that I tried to DJC too much.

I agree the items are a bit noobish but Brawl seems more of a bare-hand throwdown than Melee. In Melee, there were many more technical aspects to the game. Wavedash, l-cancel, etc. They removed that in Brawl because it took away from the natural aspect of the game, which to just kick ass and not worry about being able to slide across the screen without moving.

There's still edgegrab, edge-guard, edge-counter jump and short jumping because those are much easier to do.

In a way, Brawl is more simplified.

If you die enough times in a row (with no items on) you can get a final smash...are pros prohibited from using the smash? Or is there some magical setting to turn even that off.

I was Mario in the video.

We were all forced to use the Classic Controller. People brought their own Wii Remotes and GC controllers, but they were told they wouldn't be allowed to use them.

BTW, the info said this was a semifinal match, but this was actually a match before quarterfinals (octafinals?). I lost to a Lucas in the quarterfinals, and he ended up getting 3rd place in the end.
