@Rocklegend24 I've got a low G. It's an octave down for the normal high g. I think you can play 99% of it with a high g though. Other than that, I might be a bit sharp or flat, but probably not enough to notice.
@Rocklegend24 So for that part, just play the note on the C string (an E I believe - 4th fret). All I'm doing with the extra note on the low g is adding harmony. That E is the melody note (usually the melody note is the highest in a group of notes played together). So just play the E.
yeah would def appreciate a more in depth, easier to play with, tutorial. i've just started learning and i have been looking for something fun to work towards. so something like this but aimed for the true "dummies guide" players out here! great work anyways.
@SkateLakai117 Play down an octave? Just take each note and walk down the scale one time until you reach that same note (in a different octave). So if you wanted to get to a lower C note: C B A G F E D C. You'd take that lower C and use it instead of the first one. Hmm... Not sure if that makes sense. I'll see if I can do a video about that.
I'm playing with a low G, so if your g string sounds different (higher) than mine you are using a high g. You should be fine playing it with a high g, but @valdespalte has some work-arounds in another comment to make it even better. If you want to change to a low G you just have to get a different set of strings (or buy just the low G). I recommend Worth clears. You can have an unwound (non-squeaky) low G if you get them.

This ukulele isn't in standard tuning of G-C-E-A. So it is difficult for us that have standard tuning. Perhaps tell us what tuning you are using.

@liveukulele The part with the barred C chord at the beginning, where you pluck two strings at a time doesn't work with high G.

when youre talking about the third shape during the part at the 12th and 13th fret what do you mean?
and thank you i loveee this vid(:
yumpopusa 9 months ago
@yumpopusa A "third" is the distance between the two notes. So when I say third I only mean that it is one of the usual ways to play those two notes.

if you don't play a ukulele with a deep G string,
i worked out a way to play the deep e note around 6:54
instead of pinching the top two strings you can just play the c and e string loose :)
valdespalte 1 year ago
and you can do the same in the begining of the song around 1:14

awesome vid, how are your ukulele tunned?
valdespalte 1 year ago
@valdespalte
Just standard GCEA, but with a low G. You shouldn't have any problems playing with a high g though.

@liveukulele ohh yearh ofcause a low G that explains it :)
peace out and creds to your ukulele skills :)

Thank you! I just teach it how I play it. That doesn't mean it's best! There's always a different way to play something.
