He was uncredited because he asked to be; he was unsatisfied with the limited sound quality the Genesis posed, so he didn't want it to be associated with him.

@spynae The guy who disabled commenting on the Ice Cap video talked about how he hated the use of samples in MJ's Sonic 3 songs.

Explains a lot, while Ice Cap in my opinion is kick ass, its sound quality is a lot less impressive than other songs like Flying Battery and Chemical Plant because the Genesis' sound chips (don't know if it was the FM or PSG, or both which did the samples) were awful at samples.

@Ty4ons I wouldnt go that far to say its sound quality wasnt as great as others, but thats my opinion as well, and i respect yours. I liked Ice Cap zone's music more than anything else with Angel Island and the Final Boss music being very close to it. Ice Cap had a melodramatic feeling to it, I also enjoyed Megadrivers remix to it with its guitar and piano combo which i recommend checking out if you like rock music

I'm sure many of the people who view these particular videos probably liked Michael Jackson's work... but this wasn't one of them. He was going to be a composer for Sonic 3... but it didn't end up happening. The Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection verifies this.

Some of the music may have been influenced by MJ's work, but in the end he had no part in anything Sonic 3 related.

Credit should be given to the people who were actually involved, as seen in the end credits.
