Check the video again, I'm sure you'll find out it can be played from 9 players up (8 players + a leader).

@Vondur you can play werewolf single-round with as few as 3 players. 1 wolf, 1 hunter and 1 villager. There is 1 voting round and if wolf is voted out, team good wins. If villager is voted out team good wins. If hunter is voted out then team evil wins (the werewolf).

@idikitos That sounds like random playing and you don't have time to observe people and tel if they're liars or not. So I don't quite see the point of this version. If you're three players, don't play werewolves, play something more fun! :)

@sylvouroboros A dead hunter remains a member of the village and when the village eventually wins, all villagers win, be they dead or alive. So the hunter had better kill wisely to help his fellas.

@berijeux So both the little girl and the hunter are actually a "gambit" sort of character. They have to be exposed and/or killed in order to help the village, be it by their own sense of sacrifice or through pressure from other villagers.

This is unlike any other special character, whose powers serve best in survival and secrecy. I bet they chose to call it "the little girl" just so the other villagers would feel like monsters for planning on losing her.

@sylvouroboros yes, designers made (or reused) different types of characters. Now you have the choice to use some or not :-)

Hey, theres a character that looks like the villager card but in the center the image is different. What is this character?

Every Friday night we play this and it is a lot of fun. We have that same deck.

@thepyrotechnician must be a character from the expansion. In the expansion, you have 5 or so different stickers to be stuck onto villager cards.
