So what are you using now? i managed to pwn my iPhone without a sleep button at 4.2.1, but camera takes like 20sec to open and i wouldn't want to count how long it takes to load cydia(bout 3min on high speed internet)... 3.1.3 STILL better? or rather 3.1.2.? im willing to do anything for the speed, also my phone regularly crashes & safe mode-s..

Tell me what i should do.. i want my 4.2.1 apps. I tried anything! ioverclock, fakeclockup, disable spotlight, but its still rubbish! Help me! Thank u!

That wasn't fair. You restored the 3.0 software but the iOS 4.2.1 had space taken up and was already activated and jailbroken.

whitdoor doesnt have 4.2.1 animations so whitedoor sucks also 4.2.1 changes the colors on 3g looks better 4.2.1 feels more like i u had a 3gs more power

@umair9114 Better don't. If you have SHSH saved in Cydia (yea, for 3G too!), you can try both. If you want the look of the iOS 4.2, check out the Whited00r firmware (just google it)

SHSH is a signature that Apple checks for when you change iOS. If you don't have SHSH saved in Cydia or TinyUmbrella, you will not be able to go back to the 3.1.3 from 4.2.

3.1.3 upgrade to 4.2.1 was great performance/reliability upgrade. unlock, type, calling all better. I upgraded as new device, not restoring 3.1.3 config. iTunes encrypted backups during sync faster. Radio apps seem to play during sync rather than being interrupted.

iOS 4.2 is faster on iPod touch 2G compared to the iPhone 3G, so I think Apple should have just cut off the 3G and let iPod touch 2G's get iOS 4.3 with multitasking for Airprint, etc cuz only the wallpapers slow down iOS 4

It's not a genuine app, you have to jailbreak your phone to get it, I mean.
