Alot of times ppl think the mantis wants a big mac made out of your finger but they can and will drink the sweat off your finger if their thirsty weird but true.

before i found a female praying mantis 7" long and i keep it to a aquarium. first it look harmless but it they had a time they attack you... after laying eggs next 3-4days they die even there a food insect around her.

lol, we use to have a bug zapper for misketos out side on my porch, praying mantuses use to clime up on the mesh and watch the light. none of them died thank god, them suckers are cool xD

the majority of them are harmless but i still wouldn't let one of the big ass mantids bite me. could hurt and i aint takin the chance lol. but yeah i have a little european one and it doesn't hurt when he tries to bite me

I grabbed one of these off of a bush in the valley of Northern California, and it sat on my hand calmy and patiently until I left it on another bush in the parking lot. My favorite insect of them all...

i love mantis's, but it is possible for them to bite you. cause when i was 12, i tryed picking up a mantis, almost the size of my hand, it was a big one, it my palm. it drew ALOT of blood! i still have a scar as proof

As kids we tied a thread on the neck and flew them like a kite. The noose was loose as to not hurt them...we let them go after that back into the garden.
