Love Billie Joel, the air horn kid, and Paul starting to flub one of the verses, but fixes himself since there are thousands of ppl singing with him. Poor Paul, he did this over the summer with Hey Jude too! Must be hard when you have written SO MANY awesome songs!!
@Milzililili99 no. Dhani Harrison doesnt go to any of the former Beatles concerts- the only ones he went to were tributes to his dad George after George died.
@lolfag93 No, that was a melotron, using the flute voice for the intro particularly. The horn part is a piccolo trumpet, played by the piccolo trumpet player of the London Symphony Orchestra. Paul heard the piccolo trumpet in a performance by the LSO of the Brandenburg Concerto, which features a piccolo trumpet. He wanted to use that voice in a song-and that's how the horn became the signature sound of "Penny Lane."
wow!!! para paul no pasa el tiempo....sigue cantando igual....claro que esta como los vnos....lo esperamos en Mexico....lo adoro viva paul....por ahora no ocupo a sus excompañeros, el se pinta solo
Wonderful Macca's performance!! As brilliant as ever. He keeps the full originality of the songs in every single detail. Of course he shouldn´t change because they are just perfect, masterpieces. Watch the drummer at 1:39... He´s a show itself. Of course the other guitar and keyboard guys. With Paul they are loke Beatles alive. By the way my lovely son got me an autograph of Paul in London 21st December Fireman. I´m so happy. Please Paul, keep playing and singing forever!
Yes I thinks it's him. I saw him in a concert at Rotterdam in 2006. Great performer just as Paul... We (my son of 24) and I love the Beatles. We saw Paul In arnhem some years ago. My son smoke a big joint as Paul started with "Hello Goodbye" Really great, back to the 60's together with my son, one of the most beautifull moments in my life....
This is the best thing i heard in a long time!!. It brings back so many memories. You can clearly see on the faces in the audience what the Beatles music means for people. I listen and cry, listen and cry:)
Paul with THIS band and The Beatles forever. I am happy to can see this.Look at the childrem, although they love this music. it must have been great to be in this concert!
somehow it was all better from borrowed records passed about the class than this. but then stones were better then too. everything was. now, everything sucks... you couldn't pay me enough to watch fucking tv or go god damn fucking shopping for anything!
Sadly, this beautiful song was the first to failed no.1 And later, George Martin confessed that he made a mistake to put Strawberry fields as the b-side. Meanwhile, the no.1 at that time was "release me" by Engelbert Humperdink...who cares about this asshole!!!
Among everything else, this keyboardist nails everything that was on the records. Strings, horns, sound effects, etc. Just listen to them playing "She's Leaving Home"
Simply aweful & beautiful Paul!!!!! I can't believe the roaring, clapping applause of the audience after this music. Let us all pray for Paul's longer life so he can entertain the whole world.....especially YOU.
John was then the lead vocal in this song. It's equally beautifully sung by Paul. +10. I noticed that almost everyone knows the lyrics of the Beatles songs.
@kcolat that's right....the single that came out with penny land ( a real street in Liverpool) had strawberry fields ( a home for girls in Liverpool). Yes, it really looks like what John and Paul wrote about Liverpool.
I've viewed most of Paul's YOUTUBE vid...I guess there were a few close-ups of John Crusack in the crowd & Michael Douglas too. Michael grew up with the Beatles' songs.
i am in this video. at 24 seconds i am the little boy looking up at paul all the way on the tip right. i went to see him at madison square garden. it was the greatest concert i ever went to
ringo really lost himself...

@doctorbenjiphd it was originally a trumpet solo. I dont thnk they had synth keyboards in the 60's.....

@iPodsUNLEASHED they didnt have a synth as such they had a very primitive version of one though (they used it for strawberry fields)

Paul is perfectionist in a good way. But he did a little mistake here almost unnoticeable. At 1:32 he sings
..."There beneath the fish and finger pies"...instead of " a four of fish and finger pies".

NOT a mistake, he does that on porpouse
