Torbay beach party on facebook not even in the UK read the add proper before going on the the newspapers. and do you not say there is no reason why people shouldnt enjoy the beach as long as no ampted up music??
1 of them saying how he was getting a knife to kill them,my mum said the police never turn up in Brixham i said ok and guess what they didnt but the funny thing was i walked up the hill got to reabarn and there was the police driving down slow and turned up the greenswood rd so no to go down to where the fight was? was total shock to see so I say sack who ever was on last night saturday and investagate what is going on???
Hi the new vid looks alot better but the Police service in Brixham sucks its a wildwest town with no Police cover at night times so if your thinking there is you are wrong what am I on about well last night I had a good night going round the bars and ended up walking home around 2.30am a fight with guys and ladies broke out next to the phone shop in bolton street near all the cctv that is never used, I walked passed my mums and she had rang the police who siad they would be coming well
Maybe if the council had given Brixham Police that £50000 you could have done there 2 question survey they want doing and a fraction of the cost, would have bought a great web cam, hey maybe you good get Brixham police some of them person cams and post that like Plymouth police have they are cool?
Excellent idea, it's good that the Police force is eventually embarrassing the 21st Century. Not much content, but I am sure that next time there will be facts galore. I was a little disappointed by the video quality, and the titling display was a little amateurish. However it is the effort that counts and I look forward to the next broadcast.
Thank you - you are right, hopefully content will be more interesting next month. This first attempt was somewhat experimental. We all have to start somewhere and I will work on the presentation for the next time.
I see that Brixham is well above the national average for violence against the person and sexual offences... so having neighbourhood priorities for anti-social behaviour, criminal damage and speeding sounds just about right for our thin blue line... well done lads, the Horlicks and cuddly toys are in the post.
Many thanks for your comment - the crime statistics you refer to no doubt have come from the internet, which do indeed show what you say - however - these statistics are for the whole of Torbay, not just Brixham, and includes our much larger neighbours of Torquay and Paignton. Brixham's figures make up barely 10% of Torbay's total crime. I will mention stats in my next broadcast.
The neighbourhood priorities are those which the public have told us they wish us to concentrate on. Dave Casley
So, are you saying that Torquay and Paignton... hardly Detroit and Chicago... statistically, are even further up the league for gratuitous violent and sexual attacks?
Well its better than donuts for the Police it will give them something to do in there police station very good, I got up to 3 mins or him saying this and that think he should let someone more with it younger as he is talking at us like we are oaps, bet he will go round to all the grannys now helping them log on, bless him
Thanks for the comment - looking at me you've guessed I like donuts!!
Sorry if you thought I came across as condesending, but not everyone is familiar with the computer or You tube, and I was trying to explain as basically as I could.
Fair enough Mr Casley, but a bit to condesending maybe allow Dennis lose do it in future with his sence of humor would go down great, but like someone else said good to see what you guys look like as never see any police outside of there cars in Torbay other than a saturday night.
It would have been nice to see the faces of the teams as well though.
Just a couple of points re layout, I found the title page hard to read with all the shadowing, suggest making the font clearer. Also I found the black lines on the display above your head really heavy and distracting.
Hope this is helpful, Lynne A, Friends of Furzeham Green
Thanks Lynne - All comments are being noted and we will try and improve the clarity etc. This was our first try, bearing in mind we don't have a studio and are just using a hand held cam.
I have since worked out to edit photos in - learning all the time!
