The way I look at it is if you're a big call of duty multiplayer fan you will go the extra mile to get good internet connection which is something I did in the past. Why should I be punished for going that extra step to do well in something I enjoy and I put money into ie: elite. I can see their motives in this but it's not fair to the ones who want to play this game at their optimal ability. What they really need to do is get a designated server. They've made enough money to do this.

Watch the MW3 MOAB on a 1 bar. It shows lag comp in how someone is barely affected by the weaker connection compared to the others, especially the host.
@billybazilly I pick up over 15 this game, if you ran after every tag when you killed someone, long range you would be killed doing you're team a disscervace.. You have to know which tags to grab and which ones to leave. You can't play like an idiot and expect to win

Theater mode in BOps doesn't add lag. On the server side, it merely records all the information that normally passes through it. And then reconstructs the match using that movement and action data. Which is why you can float around within the playback, instead of it just being a video.
do what i do, stream porn whiles playing game so u reach yellow bar...trust me u get advantage in this game for having low ping and low bandwith. People with higher bandwidth and better connection are gonna get screwed.
I think itś bullshit... The people that have a good connection shouldn´t be punsished for having one. For me it´s almost unplayable most of the time, people just appear from nowhere and kill me instantly before I can even react.
lag compensation sucks for me because i usually have a good connection so now i lag in most games and when i have a bad connection, i also lag. i pretty much lag in almost every game now and it gets me killed.

yes I have had the same problem with lag comp as well. i started play COD with MW2 and didn't really notice it. When Black Ops came out I noticed it and then with MW3 it's just gotten downright rediculous. I have also had the problem playing by myself and not in a party.
Thats why people Camp, Not because the maps are cluttered or they cant play, or they're trying to get kill streaks.. its they too want good K/D as us.. If more people gave a toot about K/D I bet the game would be a lot more fun.

Yesterday there was one guy he was moving so checked off like a robot it was so hard to kill him i shot an entire magazine on him but he killed me with one fucking bullet and at the end he was the MVP so i make a list from these pepople and if i see them i go out and find another game that works for me

big developers like IW and DICE should take atleast a month to fix their problems but it seems like IW will never take it's time to fix it....i'm give them atleast 1-3 months to fix it, if not i'm trading MW3 for BF3 for pc

Yeah, for me it's the most balanced of these games. I loved MW1 & 2, but they seemed to have some really cheap ways to play them. Most of it is gone in this game. Quickscoping is bit of an issue still (you can't do it on PC, because it doesn't have autoaim, or it's just harder), but I can live with it.

Lag compensation is an artificial lag put on players with a very good connection to try to give players with a crap connection a better chance...that is fine as well.. the prob is that they over compensate by alot in this game...I played on my friends crap connection the other day and it was glorious....sad I'm jealous of his garbage connection

I play in my college dorm and I have been just pub stomping the shit out of kids and I kept a good kd, but when I came home for thanksgiving break I played on my home internet and the lag compensation just destroyed me. I had to stop playing because I was raging so much.

I'll try your fix. It's ridiculous that I have 24mb/down and 1.5mb/up (100 bucks a month btw with cable) and people have 'better connections' than me. I have 4 bars literally in 99% of the games I play, and people still prefire me. I've kept a positive KD and WL ratio for a prestige and a half so far, thats reason enough for me to stop taking CoD seriously. This game has gone form a respectable competitive game to a fucking joke.
I had a 4.15 legit KD until a bunch of kids got a hold of my IP and now they're consistently lagging me out on top of all of the other kids that are intimidated by the sight of a high KD in general now I'm down to 4.01. I'm tired of not being able to play a game that I paid money for because of a bunch of spoiled shits. They need to patch the ability for people to do this shit. I just want to relax after work kids.

I live in Canada, and Know Im getting near people because their clan tag, is the province I live in, But, I get frame skips, and sometimes my frames stop, then my character jumps around, Its not my playstation, Yes, Playstation, I would definately pick Xbox if I had the chance, but I still consist on lagging. @itsdansby I'm seeing all kids of shit in this game that I didn't see in any other call of duty, not even black ops. I'm getting killed in an area I had already left a couple seconds before, the first day of the game I was surprised at how fast everyone else's reflexes were. Keep in mind my K/D in this game is 2.2 because I had to adjust from an all out rusher in BO to a camp the shit out of the other team type player because I'm losing 90 percent of head to head battles.

I've been in more matches where there isn't a single person with a 4 bar connection (even the damn host!) in this game than I ever did in MW2 or Black Ops. I just wish they would go back to the MW2 netcode.

Keep spreading the word until they tone down the lag compensation! This game is practically unplayable to me most nights. On the rare occations I don't get lag and play well, 9 times out of 10 i'm on a 3 bar. It's sad, but i'm resorting to switching to wireless to see if I can stop pulling host!

I have 30mb download and under 15 ping, but almost every match I've ever played in mw3 has had considerable lag. In the other call of duties I'm always host. In this I've been host 4 times and those are the only times where I haven't noticed as much lag. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one (I play on ps3)

Yea it seems that being host is a disadvantage in this game. Its like they ramp up the lag compensation and (in my experience) feels like I'm playing on a two bar connection.
@MrTeacherDude the best way to describe it is that it feels like a smooth 2 bar....you dont feel like you're lagging since no frames are dropping but you drop instantly...I'm uploading a game I just had with an angry commentary...i think you will enjoy lol. Theater mode in BOps doesn't add lag. On the server side, it merely records all the information that normally passes through it. And then reconstructs the match using that movement and action data. Which is why you can float around within the playback, instead of it just being a video.

do what i do, stream porn whiles playing game so u reach yellow bar...trust me u get advantage in this game for having low ping and low bandwith. People with higher bandwidth and better connection are gonna get screwed.

I think itś bullshit... The people that have a good connection shouldn´t be punsished for having one. For me it´s almost unplayable most of the time, people just appear from nowhere and kill me instantly before I can even react.

lag compensation sucks for me because i usually have a good connection so now i lag in most games and when i have a bad connection, i also lag. i pretty much lag in almost every game now and it gets me killed.

yes I have had the same problem with lag comp as well. i started play COD with MW2 and didn't really notice it. When Black Ops came out I noticed it and then with MW3 it's just gotten downright rediculous. I have also had the problem playing by myself and not in a party.

You shouldn't be penalized for having better internet past the point where it is even. I barely ever play anymore because of this garbage.

Yesterday there was one guy he was moving so checked off like a robot it was so hard to kill him i shot an entire magazine on him but he killed me with one fucking bullet and at the end he was the MVP so i make a list from these pepople and if i see them i go out and find another game that works for me

Yeah, for me it's the most balanced of these games. I loved MW1 & 2, but they seemed to have some really cheap ways to play them. Most of it is gone in this game. Quickscoping is bit of an issue still (you can't do it on PC, because it doesn't have autoaim, or it's just harder), but I can live with it.

Lag compensation is an artificial lag put on players with a very good connection to try to give players with a crap connection a better chance...that is fine as well.. the prob is that they over compensate by alot in this game...I played on my friends crap connection the other day and it was glorious....sad I'm jealous of his garbage connection

I'll try your fix. It's ridiculous that I have 24mb/down and 1.5mb/up (100 bucks a month btw with cable) and people have 'better connections' than me. I have 4 bars literally in 99% of the games I play, and people still prefire me. I've kept a positive KD and WL ratio for a prestige and a half so far, thats reason enough for me to stop taking CoD seriously. This game has gone form a respectable competitive game to a fucking joke.

I had a 4.15 legit KD until a bunch of kids got a hold of my IP and now they're consistently lagging me out on top of all of the other kids that are intimidated by the sight of a high KD in general now I'm down to 4.01. I'm tired of not being able to play a game that I paid money for because of a bunch of spoiled shits. They need to patch the ability for people to do this shit. I just want to relax after work kids.

I have a decent Internet connection.. I live in Canada, and Know Im getting near people because their clan tag, is the province I live in, But, I get frame skips, and sometimes my frames stop, then my character jumps around, Its not my playstation, Yes, Playstation, I would definately pick Xbox if I had the chance, but I still consist on lagging. I play with randoms, You could call me a pub-stomper, but get these little problems, that tick me off. Any Help? Thanks.

@itsdansby I'm seeing all kids of shit in this game that I didn't see in any other call of duty, not even black ops. I'm getting killed in an area I had already left a couple seconds before, the first day of the game I was surprised at how fast everyone else's reflexes were. Keep in mind my K/D in this game is 2.2 because I had to adjust from an all out rusher in BO to a camp the shit out of the other team type player because I'm losing 90 percent of head to head battles.

I've been in more matches where there isn't a single person with a 4 bar connection (even the damn host!) in this game than I ever did in MW2 or Black Ops. I just wish they would go back to the MW2 netcode.

Keep spreading the word until they tone down the lag compensation! This game is practically unplayable to me most nights. On the rare occations I don't get lag and play well, 9 times out of 10 i'm on a 3 bar. It's sad, but i'm resorting to switching to wireless to see if I can stop pulling host!

Be thankful you can keep a 2.30 K/D. Mine dropped from 2.8 in the first few days when lag wasn't a problem to 1.87 now.

I have 30mb download and under 15 ping, but almost every match I've ever played in mw3 has had considerable lag. In the other call of duties I'm always host. In this I've been host 4 times and those are the only times where I haven't noticed as much lag. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one (I play on ps3)

Yea it seems that being host is a disadvantage in this game. Its like they ramp up the lag compensation and (in my experience) feels like I'm playing on a two bar connection.
