I am totally groovin' on that Seventies Sound! Charlie's Angels could appear at any moment! Is that one of the tapes that came with the car? Luxury Cars came with 'Easy Listening' tapes, back, then (& sets of glassware for serving Alcoholic Beverages, which, then, were considered part of 'The Good Life'....along with Cigarettes, Tranquilizers, and wasting endless hours wearing pastel Polyester outfits while 'looking sharp' at the Country Club).
Great ride. I had a 79 Mark for 10 years and I miss her. I kept all my 8-tracks for when I buy another one. Always fun to see these "Yank Tanks" in Europe. She must cost EUR 250 to fill!!
I'm laughing at the fact you are playing a Salsoul Orchestra 8 Track while driving! I have the same 8 track AND a 79 Mark V Collectors Series in white here in Virginia.
I am originally from Denmark but I live in the USA. My first car was a 77' Mark V. It is a wonderful piece of machinery. As much as I love seeing them in the USA, I love to see them even more in Europe where their sheer size and rarity make them even more imposing and special than in the states. Thumbs up!
Great video with a very nice Mark v Bill Blass, I own one Bill Blass 79 too. Like yours, but I have white leather seats in mine. In Sweden where I live we only have four Bill Blass 79 in the hole country. Do you know how many there are in Belgium?
I only found one other Bill Blass Mark V for sale in Belgium, back in late 2006. It was a white interior car. It was on eBay but I do not know where it ended up eventually. I have never seen another Bill Blass Mark V in Belgium. There cannot be a lot out there. I was told that the blue interior cars are rarer. Reportedly only 400 were made of those.
Ahh, some 70s disco for a 70s car! You must be in Europe somewhere, judging from the road signs. I own a '79 Lincoln Continental Mark V, too! But it's not a "Bill Blass" edition. Isn't it a wonderful, smooth ride?
Yes, I am in Belgium actually. And yes, the ride of a Mark V is indeed very smooth. That's why I like those cars so much. And for the styling of course.
Thank you for your videos. I enjoyed them. I saved them to my favorites. I enjoyed looking at the car you are driving(Lincoln Mark V) in Europe too. They do not make luxury cars like that anymore. I am curious what is that second song playing in the background? I would like to know the name. Thanks!!
I enjoyed all three of your videos for several things. I am in America and I noticed the European streets in your video. I prefer and like large American cars. That car you own is a Lincoln Mark V. It was of of my favorites from the Mark series. I also like the music. What is that song playing "keep on dancing" or something like that. I am curious. Great videos! I added them to my favorites.
Thanks for your comments. I have no idea what the song's title is, but I found it quite appropriate for the car. The music you hear is live from the 8-track in the car. I'd need to check the tape to find out the song's name.
How much would a car like this cost, in relatively good condition?

Anyway, cars like that truly ARE 'Land Yachts'.

Wonderful cars.

It seems to shake a little too much. Is it because of the loose camera or bad road surface quality?

Humongous Land Barge. A relic of the worst of the '70s.

To each his own, I'd say. As long as there is people out there who enjoy the stylish American cars of the 1970s, there is still hope. ;-)
