I think a way to solve the illegal downloading of music is for record companies to post all their artists songs on Youtube. Youtube pays for having views. So, why doesn't Vevo give the money from the views to the artists? That way it covers the portion of people downloading the particular artist's songs.

A song should not have a money value. It is simply sound waves produced by a human, doing something they love, for people to love.
