I've been rooting for Chaska since their first appearance at State a few years back. This was one of the best choreographed dances at this years competition. I know they were docked points for the fall (that sucks...) but I was wondering if any of the girls from the team could let us know what placing they would have received if not for the deduction? And once again, great dance like always! Keep up the great work!
I can tell you we were 5th place in pre-lims. And after pre-lims everyone was all over the board. The top 6 ranked teams all had placement from 2nd (or higher) to below 6th. I have never seen scores like that.
It is hard to say where we would have really placed. In finals more judges ranked us in 6th, and in finals the scores and ranks were very consistant overall. I can tell you everything was really close. I have never seen score that tight at state before!
I am a AAA coach and Chaska was very very good!!!! Their kicks were so amazing. I think the kick difficulty was better than some teams that beat them. Aryanashot you need to watch what you say..you never know who is on youtube and ps...coaches talk...
Chaska is easily one of my favorite teams. Their girls are so nice and they all come up with choreography together! That's so great to hear, their dances are out of this world.
I felt awful for the girl who fell, and I wonder if they could have medaled. They are still an awesome team!
aryanashot, I disagree with you. They are better then most teams, their kicks and arms are pretty darn good. I thought everyone in top 6 was wonderful. You said you competed against them at state, what school are you from?
I think that if you are worried about saying where you are from because you are afraid of getting in trouble with your coaches, that you may have crossed the line with your comment.
I think that you are being a little harsh, and I think there kicks are great. Watch their first set of kicks, they are really difficult. Lots of moving kicks and lots of transitions during one set of kicks.
I agree with danceMNdance1 if you are afraid to say where you are from you shouldn't have posted the kind of comment that you did. I think their kicks and their whole dance was awesome!!!!
i saw a lot of similarities in this dance from their dance last year. I really like the music and the beats. I think it is good, very creative but the competition was really hard this year. The top 4 were hard to beat
I'm also from a single A team, and I think Chaska is amazing! My cousin goes to Chaska, so it's been really cool watching the team! You guys have some really sweet, creative choreography. Keep it up!
Why is it that the girls who fall/slip are usually in the middle? Or is it just me? It seems to happen in a lot of dances.

this dance was amazing!
i was actually at the state tournament watching on this day,
and this was by far my favorite dance.
it was completely amazing how the main kickline had no music!

why would i joke about that?
my dance team went to state also
and we competed against them
look at the first few kicksets
they really need to work on whipping their kicks up AND down
and the arms look really messy at times
its just constructive criticism

i would rather not say considering this is youtube
and i dont want any coaches or dancers thinking i said anything badly about chaska dance team
words can be twisted and i would rather not get kicked off my team
i do respect chaska
but i just think they could have done better than this dance

POOR GIRL!!!!!! that stinks!
You can hear the video taper say: "thats a point deduction per judge".
Hopefully next year you guys will take it all.
