  • @adge0042 I meant were it goes

  • @XxbrandonxX234 When you're reciever and radio are on press and release the throttle. The arm that moves back and fourth should have a plastic screw on the end of it holding the spring down. Check your manual too just to make sure

  • @adge0042 Yes thx I set it now .. Um one more question k well der is like a spring looking thing dat is hooked to my car kinda it's a brake linkage kit but it came off and I hav no idea of we're it went

  • Got the exact same one just the other day, already had a few scuffs on the shell... You know anywhere I can get an exact shell? I got same as yours. My 2-speed doesn't even shift, and the brakes don't work.... Meant to be "professionally tuned" RTR, my ass. Gotta tune in the brakes and transmission tomorrow

  • @highfall60 Sometimes the tranny won't shift if the engine isn't tuned properly. All RTR means is that the truck is put together. There are some kits you can buy that require you to build the truck yourself. As far as the body goes thee HPI website should sell them. If not, check eBay. My body is almost totalled lol

  • plz someone help me ... i have dis same truck and wen i first started it to break it in my weels were spinning way to fast and my engine was hitting 2ng gear like it just goes full speed :( plz help

  • @XxbrandonxX234 Try adjusting the throttle trim on your radio. It might be set too high

  • I HAV THE SAME BODY ON MY CAR THATS ON NATES TRUCK

  • adge im really thinking about getting this truck. should i?

  • @XxbrandonxX234 the fuel is blue not orange. hpi has orange fuel

  • Disreguard I see its the 2011 Savage 4.6 my bad.

  • I never seen that paint scheme before just thee red and blue was that factory ?

  • i get mine this friday!!!

  • @jameshoffmandude Have you played with it yet???

  • @adge0042 yeah now that i tuned it its awesome, the factory settings were all wrong.they had it so rich that ice cold pure nitro was pouring out of the pipe

  • that thing is nothing but shit

  • rtr ?

  • what fuel were you using?

  • @harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry1 its traxxas. most likely 20% thats what i use

  • @Sleytownmafia its not traxxes its hpi

  • were u using 20% fuel?

  • just wondering what clutch shoes dose the savage have on it

  • Great vid! You guys look like you would be fun to hang out with.

  • My hobby shop only sells 10 percent and 30 percent nitro which do I use??????

  • @TheBigface99

30 percent 10 will ruin a big block engine.....

  • i wish my SMAXX ran that good :P did at first, on my second motor. i had the first motor for about a year and a half, want to get a revo or one of these

  • and its a 1/8th turn to turn it in should have scan the bar and just went to the site and watch the tune vide while you were running that first tank lol

  • i wouldnt leave your glow plug in for more then 30 sec

  • IVE HAD THESE FOR YEARS, I BREAK MIN IN AT FULL SPEED, IT WORKS BETTER. FOR ME ANYWAY!

  • look a are plane : ) , LOL

  • Great video! I just got mine today ! Got to get nitro fuel and start the break in. By the way how long for a break in tank doing the idle for it to run out of fuel. How many tanks did you do? Did you use After Run Oil after each day of using the truck?

  • @Lenny7118 Hey thanks for the comment. I went through 3 tanks. One at idle, one at half throttle and one for tuning. It took around a half hour to burn a full tank at idle. I use after run oil if I'm not going to be using the truck for a few weeks. I don't think it would hurt not using it but it's recommended.

  • Great truck! They are made beastly.

  • i just got a savage x 4.6, exactly like yours, and my engine runs like shit after the first 4 tanks. (they take for ever to fucking idle out) also, whenever I hit the brakes, the carb closes a tiny bit and drops RPM. the linkage is screwed i think. also, were your tires really out of balance?

  • @kelly00000111111 Have you tuned the truck yet? Sometimes it will run like shit if the air to fuel mixture isn't set properly. When the truck is running take it for a small rip and get it between 200-250F, then turn the high end tuning screw 1/8 of a turn clockwise to lean it out. The leaner it is the more power you'll have but you'll over heat faster so you have to find a happy medium. Once you've got it running where you want it you can adjust the low end screw to get more hop out of it.

  • @adge0042 well i've had about 6 tanks through it now and it's running better. i was hitting 200 degrees after about the 3nd tank as it was almost empty. I just have never had to let any nitro engine sit and idle for so long before being able to give it any gas. i did have to lean it out a bit. when would you suggest messing with the low end needle for the 4.6? I've never had to touch the LSN on my TRX 3.3 or Picco .15. thanks for the response though.

  • @adge0042 thx 4 the quick reply, enjoy the beast =D

  • hey, just wondering im most definitely picking one up sometime this week, when you broke it in did u change any of the needles or were they all preset from the factory??

  • @yyargghhh They were all factory set (all the tuning screws were flush). We broke it in on the factory settings untill we ran the tuning tank. Check out Katpis' channel in my "other channels" section. He has footage of this as well. He's also the guy to ask about this stuff lol. Hope you enjoy the truck!

  • hope you enjoy it cause my two the x and xl are a blast

  • Why did you wrap the motor?

  • @Npena100 The engine has to be at 200 degrees before we can tune it so we were helping it by putting the sock on it

  • @adge0042 Oh i see thanks! Want to buy one myself but scared about the whole break in thing cause ive never owned a nitro... What will happen if i were to mess up some during the break in?

  • @Npena100 Well it's not too hard for the first 2 tanks because you're just letting it idle, but sometimes you have to feather the throttle to keep it running, which isn't hard. The hardest part is tuning if you've never done it before. Just watch tons of videos and if you know someone who can help you see if they can.

  • @adge0042 im gonna but a used e revo for my first one so i dont have too lol ^^

  • @killer4life1000 You'll love it. The e-Revo's are a blast

  • hi what kind of run time are you geting out of a tank thanks

  • @rotaxjnrmaxHKC15 Usually about 20 minutes or so depending on how hard it's being run

  • thats awesome that u got a truck... i hate break in like all hell but its gotta be done i just wanna take a new one and just mash on it gotta be patient tho and it will get to running real good and have lots of power and speed

  • @bscross32 Yeah she's all broken in now so I can giver snot and it won't break (unless I hit something) lol. Itw as definitely a tease though
