  • eeehhhhhhhhhhh great quality i could even feel the atmosphere 1 minute later

  • The video length is 1.41 !

  • was this also one of the first television tournaments ever?

  • Shaun Greatbatch was the first ever televised 9 darter in holland!!!!!!

  • "John Lowe Worst Televised 9 Dart Finish" more like, what a shitty out of sync upload, totally diminishing the greatness of the occasion.

  • keith deller never had a chance

  • nicely out of sync xD

  • today it £52,000 for 9 dart finisher

  • 100k in 1984 = £1m today?? 'only' get 10k now

  • @PomBare.. it wasn't live the caption would've been added later. I think Greatbatch hit the first ever live televised 9 darter.

  • this moment ranks up there just like the history making 2 9 darters in one match by phil taylor vs james wade

  • Moment of tv history right there! favourited

  • Can anyone imagine actually being there...how sick was that atmosphere it was so quiet and tense!

  • this was televised im a true darts fan i reasearched and this was the first even watch bristows golend arrows even eric says it was the first televised

  • @angrygamer1 This was the first televised 9 darter (but it wasn't shown live), not the first televised live 9 darter, which was shaun greatbatch

  • Got to love that somrset accent ;)

  • taylors versus chris mason wasnt even the second it was paul lim from the usa at the lakeside world championships

  • Paul lim didn't do it live, it was recorded and shown later.

  • @Stephensocks2 As was this video, it wasn't shown live.

  • met him recently and he's a really nice bloke.....great darts legend.

  • What a legend.

  • nah that was the first live 9 dart finish!

  • I thought it was Taylors against Chris Mason that was the first?

  • good point that is snowskeatsnow

  • the audiences clearly showed so much respect back then...could probably hear a pin drop whilst he was throwing - would never happen in todays game.

  • @snowskatesnow To be fair I think it was a deliberate decision to allow the crowds to get rowdy and cheer and shout during the play. It is more difficult for the players no doubt but makes for a more vibrant atmosphere at the venue and on TV.

  • The caption guy has been waiting for many years to press the button that brings up FIRST PERFECT GAME IN A TELEVISED MATCH. Credit to him for bringing it up so instantly

  • Damn!Everytime I watch this vid I get this feeling that there was no way he could have missed this...great concentration and precision.

  • ohh that brings back fond memories.....brilliant

  • what a f*cking legend

  • good video !!
