  • A French manicure is supposed to have white TIPS, not half the nail white

  • @Skimsoco76 It's just the way I like to do it. This video is more about the technique- I'm not dictating, so you can do the tips however you like....

  • @Skimsoco76 gives the illusion of a longer nail :P

  • @bagfetish makes it look like a set of acrylic nails in need of a fill in

  • PLEASE TELLL ME!! how can you make your nails beds longer!!!!???? (i've biten mine down to the core) ://

  • @ilovegeorgeharrison4 I'm really not sure other than don't bite them! You can try to find a thing you paint on your nails that makes them taste bad so when you go to bite them you stop- I've never had that problem though so I'm not sure

  • Hey are you georgia oshea?

  • Great and easy way < طريقة سهلة ورائعة "" نتيجة جميلة (L)

  • The only thing I liked was that the French was very thick whether the fine was to much prettier without offending

  • I love the thick style, thanks for everything :)

  • @georgialinda24 Also, if you watch the video from the start, you can see they are my real nails..

  • @AfroraBieber1999 And If Your Calling That Retarded, Look At The Way You Spelt "Thumb", "Retarted" , "At" and "Those"

  • @cherryblossom2466 Well fuck you if i live in sweden and we spell it like that and my phone has autocorrect ! bitch?

  • hey :) where did u get the angled brush??? :D

  • wauw smart idea

  • this is a really great idea it wearked thanks

  • wow! i really like your technique!

  • It was totally helpful i did have to go over and over again but at the end it did work perfectly :)

    thanks

  • I tried and tried and tried. Tape, nail art pens and I can't get this right :(

    Now...

This is going to be a breeze to do because of your amazing tutorial!

Well done and thank you <33 You saved my ugly non frenched manicured nails!

  • I Thought Those Were Acrylic Nails Great Job!!!! :DD

  • oh my god! you make it look so easy :(

  • Muy muy bueno!!

  • Какой-то идиотский метод. А не проще ли использовать трафарет, если самому не получается сделать ровную "улыбку"..?

  • What brush did u use? I tried a random make up brush and it doesnt work :/

  • @kiimberrlyy an angled brush she said

  • @SuperEllieexx i was wondering where i could find a brush like that and what brand because the one i used didnt work.

  • i think that if your nails are short the line of the french have to be short for me it looks better =3

  • Im just spit balling something here, but why put a base coat on first if your just gonna wipe it all off?!?!

  • @TheBiloxibabe Keeps the white on longer

  • @georgialinda24 Then your supposed to put it on after? I'm sorry that just makes more since then just have to wipe it all off! No hate I LOVE the way she did it but she still needs to but the clear coat on after it's all done!

  • @TheBiloxibabe I'd like to point out that the base coat that is under the white tip of the nail doesn't actually get removed in the process. It stays under the white tip to act as something which a) holds down the white longer and b) protects your natural nail from the pigmented polish. The top coat is then put on after to seal everything down and protect the white further. A base and top coat is not the same thing and they serve different purposes.

  • @TheBiloxibabe when i do french on my clients i just put the basecoat on where the white nail polish is and then a pink top coat then a white top coat

  • @TheBiloxibabe the base coat is still under the white nailpolish, I guesssse XD

  • this kind of nail excite me

  • very fat tips......thin tips would look better.

    :)

  • I do this except with a Q-tip =D something I already have at home

  • another super easy way to get a straight line is to put tape over your nail before you paint it

  • yeah but that would remove the base coat?

  • ima try this:) thanks:)

  • Where did you get the brush to clean up the white tips?

  • @dwachholz I got it from a shop called Sportsgirl.. I live in Australia and it's an Australian brand.. otherwise its just a synthetic angled brush which you can get pretty easily off ebay or other makeup stores. Even try just an acrylic nail brush?!

  • @dwachholz i got mines at dollar general

  • pas mal

  • very very nice......I never thought about doing this way. Thanks so much !

  • I like)))))

  • Nice job, I know here in california most wear the thicker white tips!

  • this is soo pretty ! <3 perfect line ! <3

  • what a song!!

  • At the begining i was like "Why so messy?:/" then you cleaned it up and I was like "Awhh, it looks perfect now :3" Haha :P x

  • The line of french is too fat.

  • @trenolea Not for me it's not :) I know it's not how everyone else might like them but given they're MY nails I thought I'd do them the way I like them. So why don't you just do yours thinner and keep your comments to yourself? X

  • @georgialinda24 I do what i like to my nails. I just said my opinion. You want only good comments?Ok your job is perfect!

  • @georgialinda24 The comment box was made for ALL people to comment, I'd call you an idiot but that would be too nice.

  • @carrotJuice46 Thanks for your kind words?

  • lmao at the comment up top....SANDRI she prefers the line thicker, YOU do it thinner if you want but WHY should she do it YOUR way?? lol that goes for anyone! I actually prefer the line thicker, too so georgialinda, thank you for the great tutorial and I hope you simply laugh at the silly comments that these people say! :)

  • K, everyone should just shut up and stop telling her it's too thick..

SHE DOES HER NAILS HOW SHE LIKES AND WANTS TO DO THEM!

    Her nails, Her preference!

You like thinner tips, do it yourself!

Personally, I think she did a great job on her nails, they look lovely :)

  • this only worked when i used my good hand haha

  • @Rienei Hehehe... have patience and try to steady your bad hand on the table or something when you're doing it. Took me aaaages! (and I only filmed me doing my good hand) :P

  • You could just tape it off and then peel the tape off and not have to use polish remover and a brush.....but yes....you do a good job and they look really nice !

  • @denisejohn65 no, because if she used tape then the white would be a straight line across the nail...

but with the brush and nail polish remover she could give it a nice round shape!

  • @xTrendsetter The tape idea is good for people who will have a hard time doing it the other way with the brush and polish remover.. ... There is also curved nail tapes out there that you can buy if you prefer a curved guide line.....and yes , her nails are beautiful too !

  • Why do the white part of the so wide?. Can not you see so do the smaller ones?

  • @sandri36 Didn't really understand what you said. Anyway, as I've said in a lot of previous comments, thicker white tips is my preference and If you don't like it, I suggest you do yours thin :)

  • @georgialinda24 You have to understand that your channel is going to see people who do not like what you do and what you have to respect.

  • @sandri36 ....Yes I understand that. So what is your point exactly?

  • @georgialinda24 The white part is wide and makes a smaller one.

  • @sandri36 Thanks for your input!

  • i reccomend a rounded nail brush and acetone also thinner lines :)

  • Wont the shaping up remove the base coat?

I hope ill get a reply soon.

  • @CuteBGurrl yeah but it still seems to hold the white tip down for longer.. even if it does come off the rest of the nail..

  • Comment removed

  • @CuteBGurrl the base coat is used in this case to keep the white tips on, as the white tip doesnt get removed!!

  • This is so nice ! I'm gonna try it :)

  • too much thick! :S

  • @Cezanne1997 I'm not saying this is the way to do it, that thickness is just my personal preference... so do yours thinner maybe?

  • @georgialinda24 p.s. doing them thicker gives the illusion of longer nails which is why I did it like that

  • oie buena tecnika para acerte el french

  • lovely, u do it so so neatly .. that's amazing

  • wonderful I will try it thanks it looks easy

  • How?! You make it look so easy you swipe the brush and its like super straight

  • Aha! Great idea. Maybe I can do it myself after all.

  • haha that was pretty clever...i never think of that.. it was a very great idea..i like it and it looks easy.

  • I am growing my nails at the moment (they are taking ages!) and I can't wait to give myself a french manicure. Your method seems the easiest so far, thanks!

  • very nice!!!! love it.. <3

  • bit to thick for my liking

  • @memaixx if its *too thick for your liking you can do yours thinner :)

  • love the music...lol :)

  • Omg this is truly amazing! It looks like you have an acrylic set of nails (I mean this in the best way because I truly love acrylic nails!) I just have to try this out!!

  • I tried this and it's not as easy as it looks...the white paint didn't come off very easily with the brush...I have an angled tip brush and nail polish with acetone in it...why isn't it working for me? I even tried doing it right after applying white polish to one finger and it still did not come off easily.

  • @jacnjoe might be that the white polish is just really strong? or it might be that your nail polish remover is too weak. sorry.. don't know why it's not working for you :( try like soaking the brush in remover, so really have a lot of remover on the brush before you try to wipe it away.

  • your nails look way better than salon nails your are the best nail painter i have ever seen yet that looks so AMAZING and so BEAUTYFUL

  • I think this looks like the easiest way to do a french mani at home! Thanks so much for sharing! Love this technique with the brush! :)

  • OMG why didnt i ever think of this! amazing.

  • thank you!!! i love this i'm so trying this tomorrow!

  • wow you do it so neat! thanks for the tutorial :) where did u get that angel brush ?

  • @lankangurl123 ahh thankyou :) i got it from an australian brand called sportsgirl and they do mostly fashion, but this was in their small makeup range. I originally bought it to use for eye makeup but it really wasn't ideal for that, it was too synthetic and i had better angled brushed, so i turned it into a nail art brush :P

  • @georgialinda24 that's nice thanks :) i was trying to find a box shaped brush to do what u were doing here i guess an angel brush would work as fine :)

    thanks again:)

  • how good is your nail polishes on a scale of 1-10 not sure whether to buy it or not .. thanks great video!!! (:

  • @emcool111 I'm not pro or anything, and I only really started taking a proper interest in nails this year :P BUT... China Glaze is a pretty well known and trusted brand, and I've had no problems with it. It's better than the other white polishes I own- it's more pigmented. The Top coat is from Manicare, and I probably won't buy it again, it's not bad.. but I reckon there are better top coats out there. As far as whites go, it does the job well :) and I've had really good use out of it!! :D

  • @emcool111 OPI is a good brand for nail polishes too :D

  • I SERIOUSLY HEART YOU RIGHT NOW! Ive been looking all over for this! A good one anyways!

  • WOW thank you SO much, finally an easy french maniqure iv tried SOOOO many times at home hahah but I can never EVER secceed hahaha im such a fail, I think i might post a vid response to this one if it works on me ! but hey, should i wait for the white base to dry before i use the angled brush ?

  • @Ourmakeupcorner ahh you're so welcome :P Yeahh, I was always trying to do a nice french manicure but always always failed miserably and then after getting it done properly I tried the salons technique and it worked :D I don't really know, I think its a little easier if you don't let the white nail polish completely dry. So pretty much do one hand with white and then go right ahead and shape it with the brush and remover.. :) x
