Gorgeous garden! I'm a plant lover. I have all types of flowers, trees, and bushes growing in my backyard. Flowers give some color, trees keep my house nice and cool during the hot summer, and Asian bamboo trees are privacy screens. So my neighbors won't bother me. It's a quiet backyard retreat from the stress of everyday life.
@OS253 Thanks for the compliments and for watching! It's been hot here in the Northeast this year, and we've gotten to do work in our garden earlier this year than in the past. What a treat! Have a great gardening season in your yard!
I enjoied your video, I love the hastas.. My back yard looks like a park now, my partner and i have worked so hard all this season..I know you wanted advise but i do too, how do you get your hastas to grow so well, and i know it's not because of shade, i have that..i've added lime soil conditioner but still get brown leaves on the verigated hastas..it could be because we get no rain here in conyers ga, it's all city water i water with..
Jim, thanks for watching! We have a lot of clay in our soil, mixed in with lots of pine needles (so probably a lot of acidity). I think that has helped the hostas, viburnums, and hydrangas thrive. We also water often. Make sure you don't use soft water. Every so often I also use some fish emulsion mixed in with the water to give shade lovers some extra nutrients (all the plants love it, but it stinks horribly, so not great for houseplants). Good luck! Best, Jay
