fking love this tune brings back all the happy wasted memories of the 9o`s and no good start the dance sounds shithot even now a days bring on mare tunes prodigy .erin.
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which is electronic music with songs inspired by great bands such as The Prodigy. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
YEAH! LEEROY rulez 4 fucksake!!! Met him in Berlin @ Carneval of cultures event in 2010. He was relaxed, having fun and he signed all Prodigy stuff i brought with me (about 30 pieces on vinyl and cd). And he was always smiling..
leeroy left and sometimes you'll find him at prodigy gigs supporting the prodigy, he is know as Leeroy Thornhill (x - Prodigy) not only was he a dancer he played the keyboard at a couple of prodigy gigs :)
This reminds me of my early teens. Every other Friday a local youthclub held these parties for us kids. And I remember the dj's often played this song. Good times =)
Right, now that this guy has had his 2 pennies worth and hopefully stopped with the flammatory remarks designed to provoke, let's get back to the post. One of my top 10 Prodigy tracks and I was lucky enought to see a very simliar show of this back in '95 for the Poison tour at The Brighton Centre. Going to Copenhagen in November to see them for the 9th time and can't wait. P.S. Anyone else here not give a shit about Prodigy record sales in America? I thought not.
This tune is absolutely timeless. The guy running about is just all part of it. Ultimate rave tune this is and you don't get many raves without a few lunes to go with with the tunes .... you should be able to see it ... feel it!
Because Leeroy was in the group at the time and up until that point only the second album had a song with singing from an actual member on it (Maxim on Poison). So instead of just having Liam playing shows by himself, he was accompanied by Maxim as the MC, with Keith, and Leeroy as dancers. (There was once a female dancer who left the group before the release of the first album). They are a dance group after all.
The Prodigy werent trying to break into America they knew the music wouldnt do to good over there thats why they stayed in the UK where they belong..why do you think there so popular lol
The fact that they might not be so popular in the US is irrelivent, i can also garentee that the majority of the US youth would have heard The Prodigy's music, for the simple fact that allot of major Video game titles use intromentals from there albums.
dont the prodigy door the states? The opne thing i remember prodigy doing that no other electro band did at the time and still do, was hit rock venues and it worked. The dont give a toss, they just get on with it and that why they are still here 17 years on. Beside a handful of electro acts, thats bloody rare
90% of the artists liam samples happen to be from America. Who gave the world the blues, rock n'roll, house music, r and b, rap, and so many other great genre's that have inspired others around the world to make great music?
I'm not saying we're the greatest country on earth, but people in the UK seem to appreciate our music and they continue to innovate.
@echoplex89 yes, I can see your point and U r right, but the thing that I don´t like in american music is that there the music became too commercial, in Europe we have a lot of underground music that U ( the american people) can´t value ( Drum and Bass for example ). The same thing happened with Prodigy, You( or the most of You) just could not value how greats they were right back in the 90`s and how much did they for the electronic music, peace :))
I agree, Pop has been dead in America for at least 15 years. Occasionally you'll find a nice sounding pop song on the radio, but for the most part its trash. I love British music but I can't believe they brang POP IDOL here.
At the moment I'm actually really into a lot of the underground dubstep music coming out of Europe.I should let you know that there is some good underground music happening here in America, U just have to find out about it through blogs, forums, etc.
@echoplex89 yes,of course, if someone is interested in underground music he will find it :) I must recognize that I like some american groups, like Gein for example, they sound nice to me.
@quaresma7venci10 There is good underground music in the States, but you really have to search for it. It certainly doesn't get anywhere near the attention it should so a lot of artists here never make it too far. I'd say the concert scene here outside of major acts is in some pitiful shape.
@quaresma7venci10 I don't think they've done too bad here actually. Especially in the last year or two electronic music has really been finally starting to take off.
I attended Lollapalooza this year and the DJ and electronic music is really becoming a large part of the festival.
Hoping for a resurgence of interest in a few 90's acts.... though Crystal Method and a few others seem to do well as far as bands actually from the country.

I'm wise like Yoda....They are done in America.....So is electronic music. The genre couldn't even produce gold records. Even with the support of television. No one in the music business will invest time or money in this music again in North America. It's over....It's been over for 10 years....At best the Prodigy are a club act now....But hey...You can be front row at Joe's Pizzaria to see your favorite group dance to computer edited loops....lmao....This crap failed miserably...That's a fact.
what the fuck are you on about?? talk about bullshittin your way around music!! you dont even know what youre fuckin talkin about!! the prodigy are legends and i can guarantee you that just about everyone watchin this video will disagree with you..
They're invisible in the States, as are all electronic music acts. People can disagree with me. But they'd be wrong as I'm refering to documented facts. Rabbit in the Moon, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Moby, The Prodigy...The genre never caught on. It didn't sell albums or concert tickets and dissappeared faster than Vanilla Ice.
House arose from the fusion of northern soul/disco. Then that transpired into different genres. And House music was fused together in Chicago. So how can you say electronic music is dead? fuck off
No one said they're not well known within the world of electronic music. I thought the Brits were supposed to be smart. Some of these responses indicate otherwise.
I'm not Brit, but your not a genius either. If you are a music marketer you should know better not to criticize the work of a famous band. Fortunately like I said you are just one in more than 59 comments (more than 35 users) that spells crap in all of your comments. They didn't sell well in the states so what? Want to discuss the sales go take it with their manager. Prodigy still rocks the EU and your neighbours to.
Eh.... fuckinblowme, pretty ironic that that's your username cos i was just thinkin the exact same thing myself after reading your oh so wise comment... good man..
Uh, okay I'm back. Soundscan's numbers indicate that the Prodigy sold 8 units in North America (all in Montana) last month. So you must be right. They're huge.......Fact is, they couldn't get arrested in the States. Electronic music failed in the largest market. You can keep it on ur side of the pond. America puked it up. I think my original post was perfectly clear about as much.
do i give a shit about how they did in america? the dumbest country in the world, their a british group, and there fuckin massive in britain, how did i know u were american, jst another self absorbed ignorant little cunt, and the fact that u went to the trouble to actually look up facts to try and dishearten people from something they are pationate about says it all. so, fuckin blow me, u fuckin ignorant american cunt.
First of all, your comment about America being the "dumbest country" doesn't make sense. However, concerning what you were trying to say, consider that your country mindlessly follows the American agenda on a consistant basis. So aside from having people with bad teeth what does that make the British ? You should have known I was referencing America bc I stated as much, dumbass.I know about how poorly electronic music did in the States bc I've worked in the music biz. They failed miserably...fact.
were the ones following 'mindlessly'? thats what i love about americans, their too ignorant to even for a second, suspect their own governement of anything, ats actually made me laugh. and yes, everybody in britain has bad teeth, and still talks like they did in 1920. as far as personal hygene and fitness go, the UK are a little ahead of the race in my opinion, ever heared of mcdonalds?
lets put it this way, look at all the great stuff bush has done for america, and then look at all the well educated people who continue to re-elect him.
Butler51...Fuck Your a Wanker...Somehow this Brit Poof thinks that only Europeans know music...lol...Just like the english to think that the world revolves around them...
To be honest 50% of teh USA believe the Earth is less than 5000 years old. All British have bad teeth? Wow, we must suck as a country then. Americans seem to value straight teeth over free healthcare. Hey, you're dieing of an easily treatable disease because you have no health insurance, but your teeth are straight! A nation that loves Country music doesn't deserve the Prodigy. Now fuck off Yank, shame you weren't in the twin towers a few years back. Prodigy choon, decent comments required only
Try again? I wasn't trying to offend you. I think you, as with all Americans, overestimate your importance. Now, unless you have anything to comment about regarding this track or this live gig, I don't think we need to hear any more of your USA inflated narcissistic negativity. It's people like you that give Americans a bad name. Not Jewish by any chance are you?
You said "fuck off", yet you weren't trying to offend me ? That makes about as much sense as you do. You're ignorant for assuming I'm an American. That's two strikes, you get one more shot at it or you're out.
Out of what exactly? If I guess wrong again does it mean you'll shut up? is that what you're saying? I was simply telling you to fuck off the same I would any fool I meet. If they get offended that's up to them. Anyway, you're very boring, can't you go clean your gun or something? And considering the amount of American interest about the Prodigy on their official forum, I'd say sales figures count for shit.
Out of what exactly ? Figure it out...it could mean out of touch where you're concerned lol. To answer ur next question, that's a no, if you assume things and stereotype incorrectly that means you're both ignorant and an idiot. Also, you didn't offend me but you certainly made many attempts. For what it's worth, you've humored me as I've enjoyed laughing at you as you've gotten your knickers in a wad lmao. That's three strikes and ur out, now go and sit on the bench and sulk.
Yes of course. It was a rhetorical question made to show that you have no power for me to be in or out of anything. It's wonderful how you have ruined this posting. You are a very sad individual to sit at your computer and try and get one over on people on the internet. The fact that you try means you have already failed. I feel sorry for you, not angry and I haven't intentionally tried to offend you because you're nobody to me, just some words on a screen. You could live forever or die tomorrow
You're an idiot for getting bent out of shape about some constructive and valid criticism that I posted a year ago. It's obvious based on your posts that you're not exactly an intellectual either...nuff said. You brought nothing to the table, that's why you are out. You're dumb, so I assumed (correctly) that this is going nowhere, probably like you in life lmao. My power over you is in refusing to continue communicating with a non-intellectual like yourself. Three strikes and ur out, loser.
I have a degree in Toxicology chap, what's yours in? And this an an English degree that is actually worth the paper it is written on, unlike an American one. It was the way you spoke to the other posters that put my back up, nothing more than that. Loser? Yes of course. I wonder how tough you would be not sat behind the safety of your PC. 3 strikes and I'm out? How, are you going to bar me from posting on here? Of course not, you can't. As I said I do feel sorry for you. I hope that you do hush
I notice you haven't said what your degree is in. Perhaps I'm more educated and intellectual than you had hoped. Anway, yawn, talk about this video or keep your North shut you Toby, and I'm not your mate.
I can see that you're upset and shouting mate, but no one can hear you. You keep begging me to throw you a line but I wouldn't throw you a 10 ft line if you were 12 ft away. I'm sorry, you had your chance to stimulate me but only one of us proved to be an intellectual (not you). It's pitiful how you are futilely attempting to gasp for air even though you've already sunk yourself. Just let it go as you no longer have a voice with me. You've been rendered powerless, soon to be hopeless as well.
Men.. I am glad you are the only one thinking like that, see all of the comments and you will see that even your countrymen think like all Prodigy fans, and you are 1 against a million. Thats why they continue to be among the best.. At least we know who they are.. Who D F*ck are you Punk?!
I'm a music marketer with 15 years experience in the business who has simply stated the indisputable facts. The Prodigy did not sell well in the United States. Electronic music failed in America and it will not get a second chance at success. Poor sales figures back up my claims. Who the fuck are you ? Some dumbass fan of music with no talent whatsoever who got his knickers in a wad on youtube.....Lmao WANKER.
Don't get it wrong man. Americans love The Prodigy also. They're true ambassadors and innovators of their genre. That is fully appreciated world-wide.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah, they have their fans....But double platinum and one hit and done, does not a new trend make. MTV wanted them to have a diamond album (10 million shipped). They attempted to cram electronic music down the throats of mainstream America in much the same way they did alternative. Neither genre was successful...So they started promoting Hip Hop and manufactured Eminem (Hip Hops version of Elvis)and the world became Hip Hop. That right there is music/pop culture history.
This shit never caught on in the States....Maybe it's because they had Bozo The Clown fronting their group....This was supposed to be the next big thing....Great idea MTV circa 1997....This was the crap that was supposed to render the guitar obsolete....Lmao it didn't fuckin work now did it ?...Swept under the rug...Gone forgotten...
man i lvoe this song and sorry i dont know the names the black guy doing vocals is cool so's the white guy who does vocals but the other guy in the sparkly top. what exactly does he do :S just jump around?!

waynerbudgen 2 years ago
You said "fuck off", yet you weren't trying to offend me ? That makes about as much sense as you do. You're ignorant for assuming I'm an American. That's two strikes, you get one more shot at it or you're out.
fukinblowme 2 years ago
Out of what exactly? If I guess wrong again does it mean you'll shut up? is that what you're saying? I was simply telling you to fuck off the same I would any fool I meet. If they get offended that's up to them. Anyway, you're very boring, can't you go clean your gun or something? And considering the amount of American interest about the Prodigy on their official forum, I'd say sales figures count for shit.
waynerbudgen 2 years ago
Out of what exactly ? Figure it out...it could mean out of touch where you're concerned lol. To answer ur next question, that's a no, if you assume things and stereotype incorrectly that means you're both ignorant and an idiot. Also, you didn't offend me but you certainly made many attempts. For what it's worth, you've humored me as I've enjoyed laughing at you as you've gotten your knickers in a wad lmao. That's three strikes and ur out, now go and sit on the bench and sulk.
fukinblowme 2 years ago
Yes of course. It was a rhetorical question made to show that you have no power for me to be in or out of anything. It's wonderful how you have ruined this posting. You are a very sad individual to sit at your computer and try and get one over on people on the internet. The fact that you try means you have already failed. I feel sorry for you, not angry and I haven't intentionally tried to offend you because you're nobody to me, just some words on a screen. You could live forever or die tomorrow
waynerbudgen 2 years ago
You're an idiot for getting bent out of shape about some constructive and valid criticism that I posted a year ago. It's obvious based on your posts that you're not exactly an intellectual either...nuff said. You brought nothing to the table, that's why you are out. You're dumb, so I assumed (correctly) that this is going nowhere, probably like you in life lmao. My power over you is in refusing to continue communicating with a non-intellectual like yourself. Three strikes and ur out, loser.
fukinblowme 2 years ago
I have a degree in Toxicology chap, what's yours in? And this an an English degree that is actually worth the paper it is written on, unlike an American one. It was the way you spoke to the other posters that put my back up, nothing more than that. Loser? Yes of course. I wonder how tough you would be not sat behind the safety of your PC. 3 strikes and I'm out? How, are you going to bar me from posting on here? Of course not, you can't. As I said I do feel sorry for you. I hope that you do hush
waynerbudgen 2 years ago
Speak up, I can't hear you mate ? Oh that's right, you were silenced with strike 3two comments ago, lmao. Sux to be you.
fukinblowme 2 years ago
I notice you haven't said what your degree is in. Perhaps I'm more educated and intellectual than you had hoped. Anway, yawn, talk about this video or keep your North shut you Toby, and I'm not your mate.
waynerbudgen 2 years ago
I can see that you're upset and shouting mate, but no one can hear you. You keep begging me to throw you a line but I wouldn't throw you a 10 ft line if you were 12 ft away. I'm sorry, you had your chance to stimulate me but only one of us proved to be an intellectual (not you). It's pitiful how you are futilely attempting to gasp for air even though you've already sunk yourself. Just let it go as you no longer have a voice with me. You've been rendered powerless, soon to be hopeless as well.

My comment about Soundscan's numbers clearly was sarcastic....Did you call someone ignorant ?
fukinblowme 3 years ago

Mate we'll have our Prodigy. They better than any fucking shit the yanks manufacture. Us Europeans we love our beloved Prodigy.
And I will add how sad it is of you to go and say shit on this video. It must mean something to you to go and watch it you fucking twat!

Don't get it wrong man. Americans love The Prodigy also. They're true ambassadors and innovators of their genre. That is fully appreciated world-wide.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Yeah, they have their fans....But double platinum and one hit and done, does not a new trend make.
