We HAVE to have a STRONG PUBLIC OPTION in the bill. Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Finally the majority is going to vote on our health care reform bill. The STRONG PUBLIC OPTION must be put back in!
Alan Grayson has created a bill which Speaker Pelosi should allow a vote on. He propses with this bill to allow everyone the option to purchase Medicare.
That woman in the video is brainwashed... how does the USE fight for peoples right in other countries?.... America fight for economic an military interests, nothing more... don't be fooled by the cloak on the beast.
Taiwan and Singapore has best medical care system in the world, 99% coverage, high quality, and they are government run with less than 5% GDP budget. Do some research other than Canada and Brits. Come on my fellow American, let us fix the healthcare for our children sakes!!
In USA, it's "everybody for himself" that is the philisophy of American Liberty.... pretty lame.... it's not just a Health Care revolution that is need... it is a revolution of social values!
Kata, Thank you for sharing this information. How tragic that so many citizens of other countries, besides the multitudes of Haitian citizens, are missing.
The origins of that very expensive wart are still shrouded in mystery.
Well, there's certainly something quite wrong with the numbers here. we are talking DEMOCRACY, right? The will of the people? Just what are their elected representatives up to? (besides enjoying the free healthcare YOU ALL are providing)
About 46, 000 people will die this year, in fact more, because millions have lost their health insurance when they lost their jobs. The young woman said 18,000 people would die. The Harvard study put the number who HAD died at 45, 789.
How many September 11's is that per year, and WHO ARE THE TERRORISTS??
The health insurance companies, and our congress who let us die this way. This does NOT happen in Europe or Scandinavia or Canada. This is a national scandal and shame and huge tragedy.
I can grow my own food. I can sew my own clothes. I can build my own house if need be.
I cannot perform my own open-heart surgery.
No one should have to try to stay in jail to get medical treatment. No one should have to divorce her husband because he's been diagnosed with a terminal illness and the bills would bankrupt her.
I think most people who are against a public option are those who have never really NEEDED their health insurance. For some of us, it's a matter of life or death.
I HAVE a job and I HAVE health care, macnuts44. And it wasn't about changing the minds of anyone. Obviously zombies stumbling around downtown Santa Rosa isn't going to suddenly make all you fear mongers stop making lists of scary commies who are out to ruin your nation. It was about grouping like-minded people together so they would not feel so alone. A little positive power goes a long way.
You are getting there. This is not about health care at all. It is about communism. Remember when Maxkne Waters said "we will socialize, er er er er long pause, nationalize the oil companies? This is about ideology and redistribution of wealth. Although it doesn't work, they are going for it. Imagine this insane idea in full implementation. Where does the property come from? The property the hospitals clinics and dr's offices currently sit on. Where does the government get all the property ~~~
I will stop short of calling it "all about communism". I think you're right, the systems the left are trying to implement will indeed usher in a 'communistic' style of government, I don't think 'they' think it's communist (which is arguably more dangerous). They fail to see capitalism as a staple of freedom. They're not concerned with the long term effects of building a nanny state, even though all you have to do is look across the Atlantic to see the drastic effects the Fabians had on the UK.
In a political philosophy class that I once took, a student raised his hand and asked the professor "what is this freedom the US always talks about, I don't even know what it is". The teacher, entertained this notion, simply responded with "good question, I don't know either". It was that moment that I realized exactly how out of touch the left truly is. They're like a spoiled bunch of kids with too many toys, and not enough sense to realize how lucky they are.
The problems is: where does it stop? People need health, sure. But people also need food. Shall we socialize supermarkets? People also need places to live. Shall we socialize housing? People need clothes. Shall we socialize retail? This entire debate is madness. Yes, I will concede that there should be assistance for those that can't seem to pull themselves up from their social station in life. But socializing everything is more a trap than it is a 'boost'.
Stati, that comment about "socializing supermarkets"- ever heard of the huge tax breaks wealthy farmers get?? Subsidies for people who need nothing of the sort?
How about the vast sums of TAXPAYER money that go to putting up cheap, shoddy housing?? Sports arenas where the ticket price is far out of the range of affordability for most?
It isn't about"socializing" at all. it's about getting the best value for the healthcare dollar by cutting out the middle man.
That may not be the intent, but it will be the result. Socialism is creeping into our country under the guise of good will and "responsibility". It's popular because more often than not, people will take a hand out when they're not told what the real costs are.
yeah, they're really gonna listen to you jackasses and take you seriously. I'm a big fan of zombies and they don't care about health care reform. all they care about is eating brains, so i guess all of you are safe. I feel sorry for none of you. get jobs and go pay for your own health insurance i have been since i was 23 for myself, wife, and 2 kids. also tell me how you think a govt. option will fair. i have va insurance and i wouldn't wish that on any zombie. it sucks!
Who ever did this video, needs a blimp system for that mic.

Health care reform is a mater of life or death for many thousands of people.
Congress has to pass the bill, and make it good.

Yes, all their own.
Let's ask them to change it.
Oh, no. They can't. That would require an actual vote. A 41 majority vote. And the desire to change it. Well, I guess THAT'S not the solution.

Obviously, Washington has a very flexible numeric system all its own.

conservatard opposition to health care is not the only thing that does not add up.
kirsten dearing says we went to war for three thousands casualties.
There are more missing Americans in Haiti than there are known victims of the 911 attacks.

385Mercedes 2 years ago

Alden, maybe the terrorists are the "prophets" who see public health care as part of the Red Menace?

Wait. "18,000 will die from lack of health care and we went to war for 3000 casualties.... and .... it just doesn't add up"
You're damn right that doesn't add up. Or make any sense. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
Oh she's a zombie.. nvm
