  • You are Really Good! I enjoyed watching/listening to this. Continue doing this man, people like you keep the blues alive!

  • first of all great songs can not have too many postings, especially good covers such as you do, the sustain is ok remember when the old blues guys did it on their old cheap guitars they didnt have anywhere near the sustain we get today, man this is a great video 5 stars aint nearly enough

  • Grande!!

  • John Prine plays the blues! great job!!!

  • Oh I wasn't aware of this influence.

Wow a great compliment, thanks a lot!

  • A GREAT voice. Man, you rock. I'm just 17 and people like you make me feel the blues is still fucking alive.

  • Great to know the blues stays alive!!!

Thanks for the cool comment, young man!

  • Great, Great Job! Every bit as good as Clapton's. Do you have anything recorded or do any originals?

  • Thanks a lot, though I'm far away from Clapton's perfection!!!

I do have some originals - check the playlists on my channel if I want to :-)

  • Brilliant, as ever, Bentonio.

  • Thanks a lot, starrchild99, appreciate it a lot!

  • Un vero bluesman!

  • Thanks a lot, a really kind comment!

  • sounds great!!!! would sound amazing if u used a glass/ bottleneclk

  • ooo, well i guess my hearings gettn worse

  • Never mind ;-)

  • pretty good fella

  • Thanks a lot, mate :-)

  • just got your note and the wife said "who's that"?

  • Ganz toll, wie gut das Du keine Eros Ramazotti Musik machst.

  • LOL, na ich werde oft danach gefragt, aber ist tatsächlich nicht mein Ding.

    Vielen Dank, Ralf!

  • how many languages do you speak?

  • Na ja, eigentlich nur drei: Deutsch, Italienisch und Englisch

  • hey man thats just awesome! true to the original version man, i was just listening to robt j playing this, you capture that feeling beautifully dobro and vocals ;o) *****

  • Yeah, and Jimmy, the singer is also great on harmonica, outside the ba we talked about blues harp and told me how he was self taught and about his techniques for bendings and phrasings - really weird but it works

  • Wow very good cover man. Nice guitar too. You have a very good blues voice too. Not many people can do a Robert Johnson song justice. But you can. Well done. 5stars from me bro. :-)

  • Oh well, blooeye, I'm really flattered, thanks a lot for that!!!

  • Grande Antonio, grande Robert Johnson!!!!

    WOW...stars stars stars...milion of stars!!!

    ciaoooo!!!!!

    *** Linux Power !!! ***

  • Hehe, grande Max!

    Grazie e ciaooo!

  • Excellent Job, Did you learn all of the Robert Johnson by Ear, or by Book? I have such a hard time trying to do it by ear because all of his songs are so old that even with new technology you can't fix all the tracks completely. You are a phenomenon, I especially like your rendition of Bella Ciao! This though takes the cake and makes the mold!

  • Thanks a lot, naitrose! In this case I'm tried to get close to Claptons version, but still changed so bits, basically becasue they didn't sound good on my Johnson guitar or I simply couldn't get them right. You can watch Clapton play it here on YT. Also, there is a channel by a man called KeniLeeBurgess where you can find an instrucional video. This is also his channel-name.

Try it, it's a great lesson!

  • I will have to check that out tomorrow. Thanks for the info, I was actually listening to a Robert Johnson on my way home from a business trip and realized that since I have installed a better stereo in my jeep the sound quality has greatly improved for such records as my Robert Johnson, I may actually be able to learn some by ear now...while I am 4-wheelin in the back country, HA!! Once again thanks for the tip. I will be looking forward to any new vids you have coming out!

  • :-)

  • Superb!! You are a Blues Man! The mix sounds great to me. And the bare foot tapping adds a rythmn section!

  • LOL, yeah sort of,too bad I can't I can't keep a beat properly haha

    Well, thanks a lot, amico!!!

  • Geilomatische SlideGitte ;o)

  • LOL, vielen Dank, Kris!!!

Du hättest Paolo von den Mandolin Brothers hören oll, dr Typ ist gigantisch und sitzt ganz bescheiden rum auf der Bühne ... beeindruckend!

  • Germans play the blues, I always knew it ;-)

Reminds me of John Lee Hooker. Great!

  • Oh wow, a great honor.

Jo mai, aa in Bayern homs an blues :-)

  • what style of music can't you play?? very good blues!! sounds like it would be hard to play, I don't think I could ever do it, and I love your resonator!!

  • Thanks a lot LaTressa :o)

Well, you know or maybe not I envy everyone who can play the piano or the sax, would love to be able to play them, alas I gotta settle for guitars :-)

BTW, there are, of course, many styles I cannot play, and this is hard to play, at least for me, it's still pretty sloppy but I really enjoy it.

  • Good job. Well played and sung. The audio fidelity is excellent. What kind of mike is that? And was it picking up both the guitar and vocal?

  • Thanks a lot. I use a large diaphragm mic for vocals and a condenser mic for guitar. I record them on two separate mono tracks with my external sound card and then I mix up with Cubase

  • Great info. Thanks. Again, good job. 5 stars.

  • Welcome

  • this is a great Robert Johnson cover ! your slide is excellent and your voice is too man....i love it !!*****

  • Wow, what a comment, strat, thanks a lot :o)

  • You certainly know how to play the traditional blues, its great to listen to and admire. I once saw a duo play this type of song and they used a guitar, washboard, foot tapping and even a cardboard box for keeping rythm. Nice!

  • Yeah, that surely sounded great, Ralph. Love traditional blues, even more since I started leanring how to actually play it.

It still pretty sloppy, I know, but it's so much fun!!!

    So thanks for the comment!!!

  • Very,Very Nice!*****

  • Thanks a lot ...!

  • Excellent man. Both playing and the vocals. Got my foot tapping and smiling. *****

  • Hey, that's cool, Isodig!!! That's what it should be about :-)

  • Nicely done, Antonio! Just the thing to pick me up this afternoon.

Shane and I jammed again last night but we forgot to turn on the camera! D'oh!

  • Ah, too bad. I'm gonna meet Redneckpepi this Sunday in bella Italia, let's see if I can convince him to sing with me in a little jam session there LOL

Man, too bad Scottie can't beam you guys over or me over to you!!!

  • ben i wanna play da blues so bad i can just taste it

great man great def 100000000stars bro
