  • Would I be able to use matte acrylic spray for this or does it have to be glossy?

  • @krowzi You can use either a gloss or matte effect spray. The choice will be dependent on the finish you require.

  • There's a unique situation I have run into a few times. A good example is the current black Trans Am model I'm building. I'm using inkjet water slip decal paper for the gold effects. The firebird logo has several separate lines in it & any space between those lines will need to show the black paint job of the car underneath. White decal paper's no good here since blank spaces dry white & from previous experience, solid colors are translucent when using clear decal paper. Suggestions? Thanks!

  • @Jerrico71 As you are applying onto a black surface you will need to use our white decal paper.

To avoid the white colour showing behind your image we suggest creating a block colour of black behind your logo before you print. This will mean that you will be applying the decal as a block, and your printed black background should blend in with your surface colour so that only your logo is visible.

If you need any further information on this please don't hesitate to ask.

  • Comes out blurry on my HP B110 inkjet.

  • @denzlepob What type of paper setting are you printing on? We suggest using a "glossy" or "coated" setting. The paper should then print perfectly.

  • When I print on the paper the image comes out looking blobby and not clean cut, any ideas? I'm using a normal inkjet printer, this is before doing any of the transfer buisness.

  • @Eppeh I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with our inkjet paper.

What paper setting are you printing with your printer? If using a normal setting we would suggest changing this to a glossy or coated setting. This should solve the problems you have been having.

  • Hi, I've applied some of these onto ceramics but they're still scratchable. Is there anyway to seal the image?

  • @Eppeh Have you allowed the decal to fully dry on the surface? Once dried the decal will have a tough, hardwearing finish,

If the paper is being used on plates etc where cutlery is coming into contact with the decal on a regular basis then over time this may affect the print finish.

  • where am i supposed to find all these in greece?

  • @pivotskater95 We don't have any stockists in Greece, we do however offer international delivery, so can send our paper directly to you.

  • @Craftypapers43 how much does 1 waterslide decal paper costs?

  • @pivotskater95 You can view our pricing/ quantity options online via our website – craftycomputerpaper.co.uk .

  • do i need a sublimation ink printer? or can i use an ordinary printer?

  • @loobieloopig23 This paper is designed for use with any standard inkjet printer. You don't need to use any special inks.

  • @beebeej1 Please re email your query to support@craftycomputerpaper.co.uk . I will ensure your query is responded to ASAP.

  • Why is it necessary to cut the paper close to the edges, if you're going to pull the white out from under in the end?

  • @serlini If using the white paper then this has a white carrier film. If you do not cut closely around your image then you will be left with a white border.

This paper is also supplied in a clear option, which is for use on light coloured surfaces.

  • Where can buy your paper?

  • @SephyGiratina You can purchase this paper online, via our website - craftycomputerpaper.co.uk .

  • I make custom figures, would this stay on my figures permanetly?

  • @killdora This paper is designed to give a permanent solution, so should be perfect for your figures. You can also apply an overcoat of varnish, or similar lacquer to give an added layer of protection.

  • @killdora custom lego figures?

  • @legostarwars71 This paper would be perfect for customising Lego figures :-)

  • why didn't you spray it with acrylic spray for extra protection?

  • @legostarwars71 It is not essential to spray the applied decal, this is because the paper already has a tough finish.

The additional overcoat of a spray or varnish is only required if you would like to give the decal an extra layer or protection.

  • can it be used on fabric ??

  • @khaledtag2 This paper isn't suitable for use on fabrics. As an alternative you can use our dry-rub off decal paper, or one of our iron-on heat transfer papers. All of these products can be viewed on our website - craftycomputerpaper.co.uk .

  • Can it be used as a temporary tattoo?

  • @edwardluvangela This paper should work as a temporary tattoo, however we do supply a seperate temporary tattoo paper. You can view further product information on our website - w w w. craftycomputerpaper.co.uk

  • um after you apply that decal are u able to eat food in the bowl ?

  • @kessc898 If your finished items are coming into contact with food then we would suggest coating the applied decal with an acrylic spray of similar varnish, this will give the transfer a tougher finish and a better chance of withstanding damage from cutlery use.

  • where do u print it from

  • can this be use for nails??

  • @estrellita07100 This paper is very versatile and can be applied to a range of smooth surfaces so is perfect for applying onto nails. As shown in the video you do need to use an acrylic spray with the Inkjet paper which can also be purchased on our website CraftyComputerPaper.co.uk .

  • so, can i just print out the picture i want on computer paper? and hten spray it down with acrylic spray?

  • @wildbucky You need to print your designs onto the specially designed water-slide paper and spray with an acrylic spray before you submerse the paper into the water, this seals the ink onto the page and ensures it's waterproof.

  • Can it be used with photos, I'd like to give my mates car a makeover.

  • @locouk You can easily print any image/ photo or text onto the paper. As it hasn't been designed for outdoor use we cannot guarantee how long the image will last however we would suggest using an acrylic spray or similiar varnish on the applied decal to give it a tougher protected finish.

  • Can I use it to make nail water decals?

  • @akamizzT We do have a number of customers who use our water-slide paper to create nail decals. We'd recommend using an acrylic spray or similiar varnish on the applied decals to give them a tougher finish, this will also help them to last longer on the nails.

  • Mind = Blown

  • can i use ordinary printer?

in this video what printer do you use? it is a inkjet?

  • i have hp D2660

  • @merchamren The product being used in this video is our Inkjet water-slide decal paper, therefore an Inkjet printer is being used. We do also supply this product for use with laser printers but I have checked your model number and your printer is an Inkjet so will this would be the best product for you. If you wanted to go ahead and place an order you can do so on our website - craftycomputerpaper.co.uk or can give us a call on 0116 296 0960.

  • Is there any way to print white images onto this decal paper for use on dark surfaces? I have a model rocket painted blue and I want to put white text on it. As I understand it that's not possible with an inkjet printer–Do you know of a way to do that?

  • @frenchie16000 We offer this paper in a clear and white option, the white paper is for use on dark surfaces so would be suitable for what you need. We would suggest you apply a background colour to your decal that matches the surface you are applying to, for example add your white lettering to the image as usual but apply the background colour to your image, you can then cut and apply the whole decal to the surface which is much easier than cutting around each letter individually.

  • @shadowboi77 We have never tried to apply this product to canvas so we are not certain of how this would turn out i'm afraid. Also as our products are designed for inside use we wouldn't be able to guarantee how long the decals would last outdoors. Spraying the finished decals with an acrylic spray would prolong their life but again we couldn't guarantee for how long.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

    Kind Regards

    Crafty Computer Paper

  • i always wipe the surface with alcohol beforehand, im not sure if you've had any luck with that

  • does this work with legos?

  • @cloneman222 It does, a customer of ours used it to create body definition for a clone from Star Wars.

  • When you say you have to use acrylic spray to seal it, what spray is it exactly? It is acrylic spray varnish, or is it a specific sealant? Thanks.

  • can i use clear laquer over it?

  • is that paper inkjet clear paper? Where in the world do U get it and what is it called, I find inkjet bright white paper, is that the same thing?

  • The magic decal paper sounds interesting.

What is that, and can I use a normal printer ?

  • @Potzypot You can use the the magic decal with a standard printer. We do have a video uploaded showing the magic decal.

  • Will the decal be dishwasher safe ?

  • @Potzypot The decal water slide isnt dishwasher proof, its purely for decoration. We do a magic decal paper which is dishwasher proof that may be of interest to you.

  • @Craftypapers43 Hi, I have applied them onto my cup in a full wrap without any airbubbles and allowed them to dry 2 days. However I wanted to test the durability of the decals so I submerged the entire mug underwater and within less than an hour the decals come off, the colour however does not leak and is completely fine.

My question is how can I stop these decal's from coming off? Do I need to apply some sort of adhesive.

  • @MysticTrades Inkjet water slide decal paper is purely for decoration not for use so they will come off if you submerge them in water. What you need is our magic decal paper but this is printed using a laser printer which may not be suitable.

  • @MysticTrades Just buy some Acryllic Sealant and then spray (dependign on size of your mug) I would say 1-2 layers.

  • can you use this as a nail decal

  • THANK YOU!

  • Can we buy stickey back decal paper for printers aswell ?

  • you can use water slide on lego

  • is it possibly to use on lego

  • I just bought decalpaper but mine is much thinner than the one in this vid, mine is just as thin as paper kite. Do i have the right decal paper?

  • Can you use it for car decal?

  • what kind of papaer was this?

  • can i use hair spray? lol

  • @brandon18888 you would need to use an acrylic spray to seal the ink before submersing in the water, this is available on our website - craftycomputerpaper.co.uk

  • @brandon18888 wat do u think

  • @mazerscreen We have never tried using hair spray as a substitute for the acrylic spray so are not certain how well this will work. If possible I would suggest trying this on a small area of the paper initially so that you can test how well it works.

  • you could print out black outlined white text and then cut off the black if you'd like. =] just an idea. I've actually never done this.

  • why did she have to spray it with acrylic? Is it because it was inkjet print and not laser print? Can i do a decal with a inkjet printer and not have to spray it?

  • you have to spray acrylic with printouts from inkjets or else the colors will bleed once you soak the decals. the clear acrylic works as a top coat for your print.

  • she does sound sexy, i might be fappin right now to her voice

  • does your way work with any kind of paper? its quite interesting, and more affordable of course.
