that's right i agree, what ever it 's a sport,man or woman. There is noting about sexuality. Many people like it,i am a boy and straight, but i don't think synchronized swimmers must be a woman, because they do some dance and gymnastic things under a water! And another think that synchronized swim need a lot of energy, it's not easy dance under a water because it's heavy to dance and do acrobatic things specially under water.

Synchronized swimming is my favorite sport. I'm looking forward of seeing the whole event in beijing (at least here in you tube.) but for MALE SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING? I don't think it would look good, synchro must desplay grace during the routine, imagine males synchro performing it on the water gracefully, ha ha ha ha how will they look, that's too gay! Come on, stop promoting it, you are as well promoting gayness and it conspires the objetive of sports.
