  • great car, must be scary between the trucks, lol...

  • Cool! Wish we could see the car from the outside. I race a 64 1000TC with 1050 motor. Watch the videos on you tube at Abarth64. Cheers

    AR

  • Great video! Thanks for making me aware of it and your racing!

Yes, I need to have someone shoot some video of the outside of the car as I drive past.

    Jim

  • HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER CAN THIS ABARTH ENGINE PRODUCE? WHAT IS THE TOP SPEED?

I have a ZASTAVA 750 made in Yugoslavia (basically a FIAT 600 with 750ccm engine) and I want to put an ABARTH engine in it.....

  • It has an engine from an Autobianchi

A112 70HP, which is a 1050cc motor. In stock form it made 70hp. Mine has a bigger carb and race cam and probably makes about 80. The top speed is rev-limited. That means your top speed is determined by how fast you are willing to spin the engine. At 6000 rpm it is going about 90mph.

  • nice car sound like the fiat 600 850 prepared

    congratulations

  • ok ty. But i'm happy to find a "600" lover in U.S.A.

  • this is a 1000 tc replica. 850 tc not have anterior radiator

  • The 850TC street cars did not have anterior radiators. But the 850TC racers had anterior radiators very early on. The rear, fan-blown radiator could not keep a racing engine cool and drained power from the engine.

  • hi,i'm italian and i love abarth cars.

in italy this car race in hillclib competition, original 1000 tcr have 112 hp(cv) at 9000 g/min.

    very beatiful replica.

  • Thanks, sardosfish. I think they are really cool looking cars-- a classic.

  • Hi, I have just visit this community, and as you can see the pignon for the gear box 9/39, it costs so much!

I have the 175/65 as tire.

  • Yes, it is too expensive for the difference it would make in your rpms, I think.

And after you buy it you have to pay a mechanic to install it. That is not something most people can do themselves.

  • Thanks for the help. Sorry for my english but I am Italian, I have the same car, with no radiator in front, I have the a112 70 hp engine, with a weber 35. I think that the only problem is the less max speed, with the original gear. Have you the same problem?

  • Yes, that is a problem with these cars.

It helps to use as big a tire as possible. My car has 185/60-13 tires and goes about 15 miles per hour for every 1000 rpm in top gear, which is not too bad. So 90mph at 6000 rpm.

Do you know the Guy Morenhout website? It has a forum where a lot of enthusiasts for these cars answer questions and share knowledge. Do a google search for Guy Morenhout Racing in Belgium to find the home page then look on the right side of it to find the forum.

    Ciao!

  • thanks, have you the radiator in front of the car?

  • Yes, the radiator is in front. There is no rear radiator but there is an oil cooler near where the rear radiator was.

If you do a google search for photobucket and when you find it put Pantdino in the search window then click See here to see this user's Album you can see some photos. (Youtube won't let me put a link or name the website apparently.)

  • Oh what a beutiful car, I have a replica with the a112 abarth 70 hp engine, even this is an a112 abarth 70 hp engine?

  • Thanks--I, too, think it is a really cool and fun car!

Yes, it has an Autobianchi A112 A2 70 hp motor, and with a racing camshaft and Weber 36 carb for some more power.

  • great car, must be pretty unique in america?

But why are you steering so weird around 0.40?

  • Just to show how the car responds to steering input. And to make the drive a little more interesting. :-)
