  • Anatoly Kvochur propably the best pilot ever to fly an aeroplane. If he ejected exacly ojne second later he would have died. He said that after this crash he thought that the living thing had died once his plane hit the ground. He says he is not supersticious but says he felt sometimes that planes he flu were alive.

  • some one shoud make this video in inglish!!!

  • @jorge699686 They should but maybe you SHOULD learn to type in ENGLISH first?

  • I love the design of the Mig 29 Falcrum. But how well dose it perform against and F-18Hornet.

  • @15thsquadron01 It depends on what version you pit against what version as both have several ..

If you talk about a MIG-29A (the one in this vid) vs an F/A-18A/C, the MIG outturns and outclimb the Hornet.. tought the Hornet is slighty better in low speed turning and has better visibility and avionics/sensors.Also the MIG had IRST and a HMS wich allows to lock and launch missiles by looking at it , slight advantage for the MIG but so a better pilot in the Hornet could turn things arround

  • Exactly

  • Oh shit. Instead of Ejecting him UP it ejected him Down lol.

  • @Cinderovo actually, it ejected him sideways. There are two small parachutes on each side of the seat, which both slow down and level the seat. Afterwards, the main parachute deploys. You can watch some Lock on Flaming cliffs 2 videos showing ejections- in the game this proccess is much slower and better visible:)

  • wonder how deep the hole was?

  • I really enjoy the technology, but I can't help but think about weapons that are in the USA inventory that will literally knock out all electrical systems. Anything relying on a computer and electricity will be totally neutralized. Not to mention the nuclear capability of several countries. If it really came down to an all out military clash between desperate nations, a few dog fights between jet fighters is basically irrelevant.

  • So, you go to airshows to see russian planes crash rather than fly.

  • russian pilot r the best in da world, can wait they blew raptor out of the sky...ha..ha

  • Seems to me american or russian aircraft not the point here, he was pulling a power move to show the thrust capability of the plane and sucked a bird in, any fighter in that position at that altitude is doomed.

  • Not lucky! He was sitting in the best ejection seat in the world at the time! The west had the impression that the Russians did not care about the lives of their pilots but that crash changed all that. By the way they had seats that that could be used at supersonic speeds.

  • @105thunderchieff even americans admitted that russians have the best ejection seat

  • Fucking lucky guy.

  • I think you meant the title to be "Life and Death"

  • @nighthawk0077 yes, thanks.

  • this is the reason all the MIG-29s were grounded

  • @6308281 are you sure?

  • @glassperlenspiel MIG-29s have been grounded due to maintenance and corrosion problems. Since then the numbers have been going down - Much like the tanks the majority are absolete and non functional - Russia has some major problems with the militaries - whats funny they Just keep covering it up with the usaul propaganda - Hmm seems like there are still die hard CCCP people around -

  • @6308281 Too many morons around.. A bird got sucked into the engine and it worked long enough to steer away from the crowd. Brains of people watching too much US TV eventually become non functional.

  • @ppocka Ok we know its a bird strike #2 engine fails ,plane starts to Vmc roll he's trying his hardest to control the plane ..ie. full left rudder ......this plane is out of control.........there is no steering away from the crowd , he tried to hold it but couldn't saw the ground coming up and got out in the nick of time

  • @6308281 No... Russian military is strong and very effective proof of that was 2006 total oblitaration of Georgia in 48 hours. Russian planes are the best in the world MiG29 stands for ones of the best fighters ever made Mig29 now desiganted MiG35 is a 4.5+ generation fighter.

  • @Ouija1210 With all respect to Russia and it's army... Georgia isn't exactly a measuring stick wouldn't you say? It's at least 100 smaller in territory and a bit less than 100 times smaller in population. If Russia couldn't handle Georgia then I don't know... As for the airplanes, as good as they may be, it just hurts to see all the advanced planes being developed, such as the Su-30, and then what? India has more Su-30's than Russia!

  • @MaximPodolsky because Russia sold it to them dumbass.

  • @dedmule sorry but you should keep your fucking mouth shut if you don't even understand what is being said. Of course Russia sold it to them, it's a fucking Russian plane, what else is new?

  • @MaximPodolsky you said, "As for the airplanes, as good as they may be, it just hurts to see all the advanced planes being developed, such as the Su-30, and then what? India has more Su-30's than Russia!" indicating your discontent for the fact that Russia doesn't have as many Su-30's as India, I was pointing out whose fault that is, Russia, because they are the ones who fucking sold them. So why don't you reassess your statement.

  • @Ouija1210 What is your point? Russia can start mass production of any aircraft as it sees fit in times of high risk as they did during the world war 2 where they produced more tanks then germany and US and britain togheter. They have enough for their needs they do not plan on attacking other countries and occupying for the sake of recourses. Siberia is so rich they do not need to steal from others as the US is doing at the moment.

  • @Ouija1210 Russia could never produce more than US, unfortunally.

  • @mizukami999 that is exacly what hitler said in 1941, 4 years late he blew his brains out in his bunker.

  • @Ouija121085 He died, but still, Russia could not produce more than US.

  • @mizukami999 learn russian, idiot

  • @ankolov Што не так?

  • When the pilot knew this bird goes down.

He exclaim oh my God (suddenly an spiritual line with God gets open)

Pilot God: what happen son? ( Pilot God just listen the pilot fart) the spiritual line get close

the pilot fell in the hard soil breaking his ass

but he receive an ass transplant in Israel and he is flying again :)

but he never knew, that ass coming from a dead homosexual :(

he can shit well again but the side effect turns him Gay. o.O

  • @xtasytube wow, I can see that you're a screenwritter... To bad, this accident was in tral life

  • i remember this one the pilot only landed bout 50 feet from the crash site.. i think they said somethin bout a bird flyin into the engine or somethin like that.

  • This proves that American aircraft are far superior to russian crap.

  • sory, have to correct myself: read " some othe channels of information ", NOT "communication". Mea culpa

  • Anatoly Kvochur ( the pilot) at video TC 1.13: In that sequense of time I felt the time/space bending... The time. was compressed ( for him extended ). That means that we have to study ( and understand ) some other channels of communication. We have to understand the human limits, and explore that... He stated.

  • the pilot was saved by the fighter's blast airwave ( by the explosion in fact ).... in did, that's realy realy realy strange and lucky!!!!

  • Shit! That would of hurt alot. Great that he's alive.

    What happened?

  • show how stupid air shows are.

  • Damn, he smashed on the floor like a cannon ball or he was burned of the explosion. Just amazing this lucky guy. May god will help him right away. 5/5

  • Kan passieren

  • A bird got inside the engine!

  • well my russian aint that good but its kinda like my language so i understand some ^^

but idk how to write the cirilica or w/e its callend in english

awesome vid tho, im jelous cause i wanned to be a pilot

  • i don't know why... but i don't like MiG's xD

  • RIP? Are you joking?

1:10 - Anatoly Kvochur himself tells about that crash

  • RIP brave pilot.

  • He's alive, man

  • Gotta love them bird strikes.

  • nice demo, did it sell any planes?

  • of course they sold the scrap to the junk yard and recycled it. you know nowadays all are recycled same as their planes.

  • The MiG saved him with the exploded.. The chute shouldn't have inflated in time

    Thanks MiG!

  • My english is enough to read your scrawls

And to type answers for you.

  • Congratulations comrade! You have earned yourself a bottle of Vodka and a bag of glue to sniff.

  • Funny...

But I don't sniff a glue, as you might be...

And thanks for vodka, of cause,

    but keep it.

  • you dont like a glue what about a RUGBY? hahahahaha

  • And what is that suppose to mean?

  • a rugby is a rubber cement that is highly flammable and when you sniff it, it smells good and you can be addicted to it. i think thats what they stick on their planes. hahahaha

  • And you think that it's funny?

This video is about test pilot survived in air crash. So what's funny for you, painkiller from Djibouti?

  • Comment removed

  • The K36D ejection seat has never failed ( for all I know).

  • Comment removed

  • @asg631 too bad you can't say that about the aircraft they were in.....

  • the guy says: within miliseconds, centimeters from the ground the pilot had prepared for the crush. the pilot had bounced up 80cm off the ground !!!

    wow

  • This collapse occurred in 1989. On Air France. This is a video of slow time for people in extreme situations.

  • Was is it a bird hit or the engine just flammed out??

  • It was a bird.

  • and this wasnt mistake of the pilot . One of the engines stopped in the air and plane started falling

  • no the engine didn't fail, it was destroyed because it sucked in a bird!

  • no, that wasnt bird - that was air bubble in fuel... engine turned off to restart... but 2nd wasnt turned and was on forcage - so plane start turning right and falling down... If it happens higher pilot can save plane and wait restart of engine... or to continue fly on 2nd and land.

    Pilot lucky...

  • he survived!

Parachute is opened in the last moment when plane explode - explode wave helped to open parachute and slow down pilot . Learn russian to understand that video

  • YEEE... neskolko ya znayu russki yazyk. no speaker goworił za bystro... horoszo szto pilot żyw! :)

no that's serbian expression , but i speak slovenian actually , it meas something like "yeah" or "indeed"

  • @stewox1 aha Serbian.... Kosovo je Srbija, o.k? :)

  • @kaes2000 lol what does that have to do with it , (but agree btw)

  • @stewox1 What, insomnia, friend? :)

  • Rusia have the best pilot and the best planes!!!

  • Yeah, we can see that. Not!

  • Yeah!! They realy know how to eject!!

  • Right! This vid is a good example of that.

  • Russia tiene los mejores aviones y ya

  • Shit can happen..

Russian catapult is yhe best in thr world

  • why did that happened?..

  • It was an engine failure. I think a bird flew in to the intake and the engine stalled.

  • Icredible beautiful plane. Just amazing ...

  • i'd fight to the death in an upgraded mig-29

  • Save the physics lesson......just one safe, and relieved, pilot.

  • RESPECT FOR RUSSIA ! I cant belive my army order F16, :/

  • plane has engine problem at 180m altitude, and swerves right. Ejection happens at 92m and both pilot & mig decent at same speed, approx 40m/s. As parachute starts to open, the mig goes ahead and crashes first. The explosion causes a shock-wave which decreased the pilot's decent to 12m/s and saved his life. Few days later he's discharged from hospital. He speaks of incredible human feats & slow-down of time, he never realized his body/brain were capable of (same as other pilots have mentioned)

  • wow Oo

  • after 30 years of service,

Mig Pilots are still considered the elites in the world. Let's stick to the facts

  • Untrue, they are just as well trained as the US and Israel, they're just fewer conflicts.

  • sorry you are wrong

  • Belive what you want, but training is one thing Russian still can afford! This video is a profe.

  • 35hours yearly? You dont even know what flying a jet meanas. Russian planes are fitted with pilots flying all the time. They have large scale national training same as nato has.

  • Yeah, I'm a pilot who doesn't know what it means to fly. I also haven't seen published NATO and Russian Air Force reports, both of which hold that the average russian fighter pilot only receives 35 hours of in flight training a year. A large scale exercise can take place over a whole week; it doesn't mean that the same pilots are flying all week. They circulate. I didn't say Russian planes are flying only 35 hrs years; I said the average pilot only flies 35 hrs yearly.

  • Will then I am right-you said that they dont train well and I say they did. Anyway what paper in Nato could possibly have been writen to tell the truthe? You think russians give away documents like that to their enemy. Its probably just some madeup lie that russians didnt even care to get right the document.

  • My little Slovakian friend we spent fifty years in a cold war with russia, do you think we need to have them tell us something about them to figure it out for ourselves? Don't you know that there were American spies in the russian air force? Don't you know former warsaw pact nations are now in nato? It is a fact that an American fighter pilot receives more in flight training in one month than the average russian pilot does in a year; it isn't about bragging, its just fact.

  • Well then they must have an average pilot with the IQ of a genius considering the fact that many pilots on those airshows do out performe the american pilots who train specialy for the occasion. I have been on a number of airshows not to mention I can see them here on youtube and compare. LOL!

  • That's the difference between American pilots and Russian pilots; Americans train for war, russians train for airshows. I've seen a clip of a russian pilot almost crashing on takeoff because he didn't have enough training. If you don't know how to takeoff by the time you're in a plane, you've got serious issues. I'm not trying to knock their pilots because they've got some great ones and great planes, but not the funds they use to.

  • oh come on man! you where right about the flight hours a year, they don't fly a lot, but you are completely wrong about purpose of training! All pilots are trained for real battles, not for air shows. You as a pilot must know that 90% of train battle Russian vs USA have won Russian planes!!!

  • You must develop a sense of humor. The whole "train for airshows" comment was a joke. Your last sentence is unintelligible, so I can't answer it.

  • Hey mjufpn odessaboy is right in someway

In 90's Russian military budget was gone

And pilots got only 35 hours, but that is change now is 200-300 hours or even more+

Russia take or select pilots very careful only with very high IQ, who can handle High G force without G suit

This selection process exist only in Russia, Israel and East Germany

I watch it on learning channel

  • It's incredible! The pilot did survive! The parachute ejection mechanism can perform miracles.

  • i hate seeing this

  • Sure, compensate with useless tech for ergonomic, the edgier thing is the more drag it creates, more drag = more fuel consumption and lower speed. anyhow new f22 is not much more monwer eble

  • ly | Spam

Sure, compensate with useless tech for ergonomic, the edgier thing is the more drag it creates, more drag = more fuel consumption and lower speed. anyhow new f22 is not much more monwereble than mig 29m, due to f22 use 2D thrust tech, mig 29 ovt uses 3D

  • If I'm not wrong, that there was a old soviet installation on serbs soil, standing on stand by, detected f-117 and shut it down, B-2 was shut down because Americans underestimated Russian missile technology.. it was sneaky from Americans to do so.. Anyways stealth-tech dont work on Russians, and its a fact, new radar tech. installed on 'Mig 29M OVT makes stealth obsolete.

  • We don't rely completly on stealth. Its just part of the package ;)

  • Actually the B-2 was never shot down, one crashed at a US base due to mechanical problems. Machines do break, no matter how much maintence is given or how expensive the plane is.

  • That's a massive loss in itself, if you mean it was written off. Considering (Wiki) "Unit cost $737 million to $2.2 billion" which probably means 2 Billion, just don't tell the tax payers lol. And consider they only have 21 B-2's. Maybe that's 20 now.

  • B-2 was never shot down and has never been shot down. The f-117 that was shot down was shot down because the 117's kept flying the same flight routes. you also needed a ton of stuff to detect it. If the 117 had never taken the same route more than once you would never have downed the airplane.

  • This back and forth discussion is stupid. Both have strengths and weaknesses. Both have capable aircrews.

  • I killed a Martian.

    beat that.

  • greg8698 everything you said is nonsence:

1.First of all the best ejection seats was invented by a russian engineer (who died few weeks ago). Those before them usually made serious injuries to a pilot.

  • 2. Americans too much rely on their stealth technology, to use it for shoot-and-run tactic, when at the same time su-35/37 have outstanding flight qualities (which are far more supperior than f-22 or f-35) so they practically can evade a missle and engage into dogfight, where Boeing airplanes dont stand a chance.

  • By the time a Su-35 detects a F/A-22, the Sukhoi pilot has a few seconds to eject before turning into a fireball.

  • when u aim someone the system alerts the pilot. but the stelth technology maybe works in iraq but in russia it will NOT. when serbia killed f-117 and heavely dameged one b-2 that no more in use, dont tell me that the stelth technology is verry good

  • when u aim someone the system alerts the pilot. but the stelth technology maybe works in iraq but in russia it will NOT. when serbia killed f-117 and heavely dameged one b-2 that no more in use, dont tell me that the stelth technology is verry good

  • Wow, we lost ONE F-117 despite flying hundreds and hundreds of mission. The only reason the serbs shot down that plane is because t kept using the same route every mission. The serbs figured that out so they just waited and ambushed it. In baghdad when the first bomb fell, the iraqi AAA fired like carzy hoping they will hit somthing, not knowing exactly where the target is. And the F/A-22 is not as vulnerable as the B-2 and the F-117.

  • man noone can prove that the stelth technology works 100% and no radar can spot him. the serbs did not abushed that plane cause they did not HAD that air superiority so they can wait and hit him. if u don know the mig-29 in that bombing was one to 48 usa/nato plnaes and they stil crashed many usa/nato planes

  • Well if it was so than tell me - do you really think that Nato HQ are SOOOO stupid that they would send a plane on the EXACTLY the same root??? Ofcource they would say that there are nothing wrong with their stealth tech. They spent billions on it. They can't admit any kind of failure.

And even if so, both aircrafts are flying at high altitudes for bombing runs, flak canons can't reach them and only a missle can shot them down, which concludes that stealth don't work as good as it should.

  • I was commenting on the plane, not the way HQ assigns its missions. And the F-117 is supposed to be hard to detect not impossible to detect. The F-117 probably had its bomb bay doors open which is how the missle tracked it. It is known that the stealth bombers are vulrnerble with those doors open. But we solved that problem with the F/A-22. Plus we nevere lost a B-2 in combat only during operational accidents. It has a good comabt record. Just one combat loss won't ruin a excellent combat record

  • Sorry DVA3952, but I have to agree with SovietZekk on this. The SU-35's capabilities were designed to counter "first look, first shoot" tactics so highly prized by the F-22 promoters. The probability of an AIM-120 hitting the SU-35 are less than 4% due to the 5th gen detection, ECM systems, and super agility that will evade the missile. Once the Raptor has depleted it's store of missiles with out scoring, it's it either fight "toe to toe" with the SU-35, or do the sensible thing, and run!

  • Well at least the F/A-22 does not need afterburners to go M 1.0 to run if he has to. The F/A-22 is a great bird and the SU-35 is no less great. But again, if a '22 manages to launch a AIM-9 sidewinder, which you can only visually detect, (passive heatseaker) the '35 is in trouble unless the Sukhoi pilot has good view. Don't forget that we learned our mistakes in the past so now the F/A-22 does have a gun. Also the '22 can carry stores externally for more weapons if stealth is not needed.

  • Wow DVA3952, I had no idea I'd get such a quick reply! I guess there's a lot of variables that can happen in air combat. Russian combat war planes carry passive heat seekers as well. If you want to know my opinion on all this, I hope that no SU-35 or Raptor pilot ever has to try to prove the capabilities of their respective fighter jets in real life air combat.

  • I just happen to see your comment a second ago lol. I hope neither plane goes head to head either.

  • Well one thing overlooked..F-22 has a very limited capacity for weapons since it utilizes internal weapons bays, a total of 8 AA missiles in air to air comparison vs 12 or so for the Su-35

  • Dude, a 35 is not going to pick up a 22 BVR

  • "Dude, a 35 is not going to pick up a 22 BVR"

How do you know this? Remember that in Russian air defense doctrine, the fighter is but an extension of the defensive infrastructure. Their planes are linked to powerful ground, and space based radars that have the capability of clearly detecting any aircraft with low observability characteristics, and transmit this information to the SU pilot in real time. A to A missiles like the R-77M, and the AN-124 can out range any western counterparts.

  • Granulations! You have demonstrated what metal you are made of to the YouTube community. It seems that you are quite incapable of intelligent conversation, and instead resort to name calling, and such. Clearly this is a sign of immaturity, and low self esteem. Don't worry, I won't come down to your level, and try to insult you with some derogatory nick name. After all, that's probably your area of expertise.

  • You still dont know shit NOGAS

  • Well, then read my earlier reply to you. It still applies to you.

  • NOGAS huh? Yeah the dude is right, you dont know anything.

  • 3.You said that russian have to bail out all the time but i remember one episode from last war in Iraq when a farmer shot down apache (the pride of american helicopters) with an old RIFLE, so dont get me started on quality of american machines.

    4. For your information Ford and GM is currently selling thousands of their cars in Russia. But because they are crap people prefer good cars from japan and germany like Toyota, VW and Mersedes-Benz.

  • Ever stop to think that the Rifle shooting down a Apache was Iraqi propaganda? Iraq themselves admitted it. It went down to do mehcanical problems be hind enemy lines and the crew got captured. No military chopper, Mi-24 Hind or AH-64 Apache can get blown out of the sky with a few rifle rounds, those things are built to wistand AAA.

  • I can reassure you that an Iraqi farmer with a rifle could never shoot down an Apache. I think that pompous Russians like yourself should focus on your domestic issues rather than making obsurd fucking comments.

  • Well that's your problem that you haven't seen news. Bullet hit some vulnerable joint so pilots had to take heli down. And by the way, although im russian i live in UK so most of the news i get is from BBC and SKY.

  • Conclusion:

You are probably on of those americans who think that land is flat and sun orbits earth.

Everything you know about airplanes you heard from your brother.

Most of your comments are based on xenophobic believes about Russians. Your mind froze during cold war.

So that mean that you are just a BRAINLESS FREAK.

  • greg8698 you're the greatest bullshitter on youtube - your brother works as a genetor wiping the dust of f22.... stop lying u sack of sh!t america is not builing any more of f22 to expensive

  • Ha-ha Greg! You are very good at shooting the bull!!!

  • Who's shooting the bull. I'm just telling the truth.

  • YES!!!! He survived!!!! :)

  • FUCKING BIRDS!!! RUINED A BEAUTIFUL MIG-29 FULCRUM! DUMB FEATHERED LITTLE FUCKERS! oh well.. shit happens...

  • oh es but most hurrible thet the one of the greates pilot was on within a hairbreadth of death but but god keeps us and pilot survaved

    in thed setuatin

  • He's one lucky bastard!Sometimes people falling from 6 feet and die.

  • 6 feet? Landed on the head or something then? Heck, I'm bigger then 6 feet ^^

  • russian ejection are known as the best !

  • That might be true since they are so used to having to bail out of their planes before they hit the ground.
